Here is a funny joke i heard.
There is this ad in the newspaper seeling a french rifle used in the army and below it says Never Shot... Dropped once

that isnt nice from y'all... i mean even after they have "lost " they still managed to fight as rebel groups and militia's they also collected alot of significant info that helped the allies .

Hmmm..Not all elements of the French Army were defeated in six weeks..some of the last defenders of the actual Beachhead at dunkirk were a large group of French soldiers who watched the last ships go off without them and elected to fight a rearguard action to defend the beach itslef so that the Brits/Poles/French could make the best escape possible... they fought alongside survivors of Scottish highland Regiments of the British Expeditionary Froce and most of these Men paid with their lives for there Brave actions...Fench Army Units also took part in the Battle for the Norwegian City of Narvik and even after that fell many of these French Units came to Britain to fight as Free French Units under De Gaulle..they took part in Campaigns in North Africa,Italy,France and Holland..Free French units helped Liberate Paris.....

Lets not forget the actions of the Maquis and French Communist Resistance Movements,may of whom were captured and tortured for fighting against the Germans and a great many had members of there families put into Concentration Camps from which they never returned..Im not French im Scottish but i feel that in many cases they have been given a raw deal when it comes to World War 2..I hope i can rectify some of those opinions that all French were cowards..thats not the case...do an Internet search for Oradour Sur Glane and youll see how the French people suffered at the hands of he Nazis....and thats just one example of many...ive visited places like the Maginot Line and the small town of Niedebrun where knocked out American and Canadian Sherman Tanks are still preserved with there crews graves next to them which get fresh flowers on them every day..they havent forgot the forces who liberated them..perhaps we need to remember that...

i dont know why everyone always says stuff like this about france. they were attacked by germany at the start of the war when they were strongest, and germany was probably the strongest country in europe. any country would probably have been occupied. and france won some major battles in WWI, one that was important in germany loosing the war that i cant remember.

I say who gives a shit about the past... they bailed on us when we wanted their support going into Iraq, thats all that counts. If they were involved in the coalition, after the war was over they would have regained everything that Iraq owed them and everything that they owned in Iraq. Now, since they refused to be part of it, and wanted continuous votes over the issue, we said "No more votes, we dont need you." and now the French are screwed because they are on the bottom of the list for shit countries are getting after the war ends. This is my input, the French might have helped us in the past, or might have been a burden at times, but since Ive been alive they have done nothing benefitial for this world. Screw the French!

No, you lost because you didn't fight THEIR war. Sure you won almost every battle, but that doesn't matter much because the Vietcong and North Vietnamese Army knew how to exploit your weaknesses. The French left Indochina in 1954, the American troops didn't arrive in Vietnam until 1964. Surely you know that the reason the USA got involved with Vietnamin the forst place was because the Vietnamese forces attacked your warships in the gulf of Tonkin, but of course many of you don't know that because you learn your history from popcorn movies.

Ok, first of all, world War II started in 1939. D-Day was in 1944. French, British and canadian troops were fighting the nazis WAY before you guys joined the war. You say you saved the french, I guess what they're thinking is "where the fuck were you the past 4 years we were being slaughtered by the germans?" Not only did the french help you win your independance, but they gave you the symbol of your country. I bet France was dissapointed when they got no help from you to fight the British when they invaded the french colonies in Canada, how bout returning the favour? France was in Vietnam before USA, fighting alone, so don't say they are all cowards. I think America needs to be invaded to see what it's like. France has seen two Great wars, both, mainly fought on french soil. Shut up with the stupid prejudices, they don't make you look smart.

Kennedy was in office at the start of the Vietnam War and we had advisors over there. Kennedy wanted to end the war a.s.a.p and then he was shot and LBJ carried it out for over another decade. My theory is the LBJ was behind the Kennedy assassination, because him and other politicians made a shit load of money off the war. Thats why I said it was a joke because LBJ was a joke as a president.
