German Fallschirmjager
 

Hey all... I'm new here so this is my first of few requests.

I have seen a few German Fallschirmjager skins around... but none that I really liked. If anyone here has played Return to Castle Wolfenstein, you would know that the elite Fallschirmjager look a lot better than the ones we have seen for Medal of Honor. I will try to post a screenshot as soon as I can get one, so you can see what it is that I'm talking about. I am sure that one of you is experienced enough to make this good skin for the community, and it would be much appreciated. I'll have a screenshot on here before you know it.

Here is an image... in the game they are called the Black Guard and they parachute into your position with FG-42 Assault Rifles... Can someone try and skin it? I will look for more screenshots.

yeh Recoil Factors 3rd Fallschirmjager skin is the best around by far..............but id still love to see some more good skins............some really authentic earl war Fallschirmjager skins would be excellent..........

Krzysztof did some very nice Fallschirmjager skins.

I've seen all of Recoil||Factor's work... I like most of it but his Fallschirmjager didn't impress me that much. I dont like the helmet or color of the uniform. I want something that has a normal German helmet with the Fallschirmjager symbol on it, and a long, black smock or jacket with some insignia. I was wondering if the parachute for allies could be used for this skin, although the Germans in WWII used different ones. A lot of gear should also be in the skin, as well as ammunition belts. I think using the German_Kradshutzen upper and lower body .tga's would give a better result... I would just change the face and helmet, and add gear.

In my personel opinion Krzysztof's are the best.

And yes the paratroppers in Wolfenstein are absolutely awesome and I'd love for someone to do it.

Xeno has the most realistic fallschirmjager around, even the right helmet. The textures just need to be darkened a bit

Interesting colour photos. I've never seen so many beer bellies in a fighting unit. No wonder they lost the war . biggrin: But Krzysztof's Luftwaffe Ardennes fallshirmjaeger 3 pack look pretty good as well I reckon, available on the site somewhere.

I don't like any of those, I want to see something like the RTCW skins.

dude the fallshirmjager from rtcw were so unrealistic tho, with those goggles, one model even had a fu manchu mustache for fuck sake... hahahahahaha

Who cares? Guarnere's Fallschirmjager from RtCW looks a lot better than any other German Paratroop skins I've seen... and I have seen them all.

In RtCW, they weren't supposed to be Fallschirmjager. They were called the "Black Guard" and they sometimes parachuted into combat. You're right, the skins in RtCW werent accurate but they look damn good.

id really like some authentic Fallschirmjager skins...............with proper camo, uniforms and helmetz

yeah, the problem with realistic fallshirmjager is that they were very rare after the US got into the war, they parachuted into places like poland and crete for invasion.
btw, what ever happened to that russian war mod for rtcw?

Well you guys are kinda in luck... My team and I are currently in the process of making a Fallshrimjager total conversion mod. All the missons from 1940-1945 are including. WE are only following the first FAllschirmjager regiment tho. But still a total of 10+ missons wil lb included. There are going to b other countrys including Holland Norway Greece Belgium etc etc. Iall the weapons native to those countrys will aslo b including. Another pplus is all new skins and maps are going to b made. Also u can either b the Fallschirmjager or the resistance forces in each misson (sp). ver 20 new mp maps will b made. We are currently recruiting if any 1 wants to join we need some work of urs first.

(btw taht rtcw is so unrealistic :-P lol)

the fallschirmjager served throughout the war, distinguishing themselves in Normandy, Italy, and the Ardennes. They were some of the best troops anywhere during the war.

yeah, its not like they were done for after germany stopped invading countries, and they were as good as the 101st, but they were much more distinguished in crete and poland, thats all im sayin

Those are v1 of some fj's. Working on v2, dunno if i'll ever release them though :P. The collars have the proper rank, you can see that ingame if you get close enough.

Krzyzs has released some fj's too with the proper helmets etc and loojks pretty cool although the textures aren't that good. He's proven he can do better with his british para's, which are awesome.

they were definately some of the best troops in the German Army............and ive never heard of them comitting any atrocities like the SS did...........

If you're talking about guarnere's black guard they're looking pretty good. They've got the helmet and goggles and everything.

If you mean the ones I'm working on... hmmz... I don't know yet. I've been using a lot of gear from other people, so I need permission first. Plus I'm not happy with the bandolier.

In the book of BoB, in Normandy the 101st fight against what it calls Col Von der Heydtes 6th parachute reg - obviously translated into English so even after they were used against belgium crete etc they were used as a defensive force like the 101st were used as at in the ardennes and at Bastogne

Yes the fallschirmjaegers fought from 1940-1945 in the defense of omnte cassino and omaha they afought in over 15 different countires

towards the end of the war the Fallschirmjager were used more as heavy infantry.......except for in the Ardennes
