Ferich 04-16-2003 08:23 PM

Hah, typo..with the O, oh priceless. Hmm, looks pretty cool so far, what was up with the soldier though..Looked like he was in a WW2 Uniform with an M60...or maybe it's Vietnam.......

Zap. USMC 04-16-2003 08:31 PM

It's Vietnam....

Ferich 04-16-2003 08:38 PM

Then why would it be Operation Flashpoint 2? I don't understand that...if the first game was Operation Flashpoint..is there another Operation in Vietnam called Flashpoint? oOo:

Milla 04-16-2003 08:48 PM

Looked like a WW2 guy to me.

Ferich 04-16-2003 08:49 PM

M60,though.. Hmm, it just might be some random screenshot of them messing around..oh well, we'll see once they release the Plot and some actual clear screenshots.

Vance 04-16-2003 08:50 PM

It's definatley an M60, but the soldier looks to be in a tan suit and an M1 helment with webbing.

You DO realize that the US used the bowl helmets until the late 80's ??

You do realize you have a small penis right?

Ferich 04-16-2003 08:56 PM

LOL, Miller. Umm, the PASGT Helmet was used in Grenada, which was early 80's.

Zap. USMC 04-16-2003 08:58 PM

Yes, I do. However that's not the point.

Look more closely. You'll see the soldier has a liner on his helmet, and a bugspray on it, too. It HAS to be Vietnam.... thats my guess.

Ferich 04-16-2003 08:59 PM

Okay, but I'm not sure there was an Operation Flashpoint in Vietnam..they should just use the Op Flashpoint engine and change the name of the game.

Milla 04-16-2003 09:01 PM

There would be no reason to use flashpoint, Vietnam didnt have nukes. Than again russia was backing them and if we went nuclear russia probably would of retaliated.

Ferich 04-16-2003 09:04 PM

Hmm, just like Operation Flashpoint was about a " fake" war that never happened, maybe this one is about a fake war that took place in the late 70's or something?

Zap. USMC 04-16-2003 09:05 PM

I was thinking the same thing, Ferich.

Ferich 04-16-2003 09:07 PM

Hopefully against China,... Lol, they were pissing me off in Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb..always hitting from behind. Nevermind..ignore me. oOo:

Zap. USMC 04-16-2003 09:08 PM

How is that game, anyways??

I was thinking about buying it when I built my new system.

Ferich 04-16-2003 09:10 PM

A lot better than that Shithouse Infernal Machine. The controls are a ton better, and a lot better Graphics. Kick Nazi's asses, and now there's a First Person view for some scenes...when you get chased by a bunch of Triads, you get up ontop of your car that some chick is driving and waste them with a Thompson..it's fun... But back on topic, hopefully Operation Flashpoint 2 will make sense, and not be about Vietnam.

04-16-2003 09:40 PM

i'd like to see some snowy terrain this tiem around with fat spetsnaz

04-16-2003 09:42 PM

theres a flood of nam games hopefully this will be another one of those small conflicts

04-16-2003 09:54 PM

but vietnam is men of valor:vietnam and now they make another one. why must they make me choose

Shroom 04-16-2003 10:04 PM

I showed Miller the news earlier as he said. Just I had to go out and now I'm back but nooo my news was stolen.

Someone should make a place where you can resnt PC games, but everybody would be too afraid that they would contract a virus.

Old Reliable 04-17-2003 08:15 AM

what do you mean fat spetsnaz?

Bazooka_Joe 04-17-2003 03:22 PM

Dammit, all I want to see is some screenshots!

Shroom 04-17-2003 03:28 PM
Dammit, all I want to see is some screenshots![/quote:4b6f6]

That will cost you an arm and a leg Joe. I'm in the same boat and it says MODERN DAY COMBAT...

Ferich 04-17-2003 03:55 PM
what do you mean fat spetsnaz?[/quote:ca19c]

I'm not sure...but from the one level where you patrol the woods, the Spetnaz looks a bit overweight and are rather slow and not very special ops like.
what do you mean fat spetsnaz?[/quote:9b582]

the troops they have in chechnia right now. their uniforms are very fluffy, looks like they have 8 layers of clothing underneath.

spetsnaz, the fatest uniforms in the whole world:
