Does anyone else find it funny that "What your doing for easter" is going to 3 concerts?

What your supposed to be doing for easter is remembering Jesus' death and resurrection...right?

I'm not all that religious, don't take me for a God freak or anything, but if your going to call it "Easter" and your going to eat eastetr dinner and do all the other things, shouldn't you go to church and remember WHY you haev this time off and what it means?

I think we should get rid of all religious holidays and the like because no one does anything religious, or go to church, they just sit at home and jack off and have no idea why they have the time off. If thats going to be the case, why should get any time off at all? Its bullshit.

Religious holidays are always the best, look at Mardi Gras.

The Christian religion as it is today is far, far beyond hypocritical. When I can find a church that remembers why it exists, I'll attend.

Well I don't get any time off for Easter so it will feel normal to me. I don't go to church for the reason that Noctic said: most churches do not really teach you a whole lot, and I learn more from reading devotionals and the Bible. Last Summer I was reading a devotional, and it really made a difference. Now I'm back to my old self. That's nothing to be proud of, but that's the way it is I guess. I'm trying to not say GD or any other blastphamist phrases.

I don't go to church anymore. For various reasons.

No one does anything religious? I know a lot of people who do religious things on days such as Easter. Fact is: We all need days off and holidays. So, we might as well plan them on days the christians want to celebrate some event. But that's the way it is already. And it will be this this way for a long, long time. I'm happy. Christians should be happy. All happy?

- Friday: Sleep in like a mofo; Seeing a Metallica tribute band at Barrymore's in the PM
- Saturday: Sleep in and play MoH all friggin' day
- Sunday: Going to church in the morning, baking a ham, sleeping off the ham after supper

I think it's funny is that one of the concerts is EVACANTSPELLTHEIRNAME. I hope the "chick" got those tickets.

Um lets see. Friday...last day of school for a week. SAturday. WAke up at around 4-6 am and hop in car. Next 2 days. Driving to FLORIDA!!!!, spend a couple days down there, visit JFK SPACE CENTER and drive back. SCORE!

EDIT!!!! NOt to mention a huge 5 page essay I have due the following monday that probably will not be done. SO thatll take some time away from the fun. Freaking teahcer blows

Play it for what its worth. Take all chirstian holidays off. The ntake the Jewish ones off. If he starts talking shizzo, smack him in de face. Tell him whos the real boss.

Only thing i notice is ther are more skater kids going around since the schools are off, and there are chocolate eggs in every shop that sells sweets.

I work normal shifts, normal hours, no holidays for me, but on my days off i am enjoying the great weather we've been having.

oh yeah one thing my friends and i will be doing, is dressing up a giant easter bunnies and attempting to skateboard at the stupid skate rink.
should be a laugh since none of us can skateboard.

Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach.. respectively.

Although I've had to call off the Vines concert, which sucks because it was one of the two for which I was paying. A friend of mine in Charleston won the Evanescence tickets and couldn't go, so he sold me a pair for $5 (okay so I paid, but barely).

I managed to only get $15 for a pair of Vines tickets.. bleh.
