Best Snipers?
 

I've been sniping for 3 weeks now & basically I've found a lot of crap players out there - I'v been clocking up some skill scores by justing hiding & picking them off.

My best hiding place is in one of the ruined building where you can snipe people pretty much as soon as they start.

Anyway, are there any sniping compeititons I can enter ?
Also, who's the best...I don't find a lot of the people who post here out on the servers...maybe there scared :o)

If you want to join a match with regular rifles (sniper rifles are allowed but regular are better) than try the SkS clan server if you are playing Spearhead.

Yeah, don't do that, dude. That's REALLY frowned upon in the community. I realize it's only your 3rd week in the game, so take it as solid advice that Spawn Killing (as your tactic is called) is a cheap tactic and is definitely a bootable offense on any respectable server.

BTW, the best sniper I've seen is Soviet, back in the day. antihero is damn good too, but I've never had the misery of playing against him. biggrin:

About the best sniper I have seen: That would be someone named fraggirl. From what I have seen and experienced: Absolutely amazing, when in shape. Not camping either.

That's considered "spawn killing" in many circles, and is generally considered to be bad form. Hit a guy on the run, at a 90 degree angle, and on uneven terrain, when only the top of his helmet is showing...now that's being a good sniper.

What freaking rock to do these people crawl out from? You would think people would lurk around a forum for a while before they make an ass of themselves.

The boro sniper server blows, last night one of the admins was playing (muncher i think) and that scrawny dieing looking fuck laxplaya connected playing with his lame ass hax and wasn't even kicked.

Just speccing watching him shoot through the darkened windows was funny enough. oOo:

What was the reason he wasn't kicked? "because he admitted he uses hacks". Well duh so if i go in and say i use hacks its ok for me to stay while using them?

munch does not condone cheating. i play with these cheaterss on that server a few times a week. theres a policy though, however unwritten. you come and smurf..they know you cheat. you come with your reg name..honesty helps keep you playing. now..that being said i am sure munch prolly had more on his mind other than exlax doin his thing.so hence, exlax was hacking and got away with it. but just for the record..

tyhe boro sniper server is the greatest though..even the cheaters are drawn to it.

Well in my opinion its not exactly good advertising if moron hackers like lax can come in blatently use cheats and nothing happens to them. Over the last few days thats all ive seen in that server, people come in blatently hack and nothing is done even with admins present no matter how obvious they are.

Don't listen to these people. Spawn killing is not frowned upon! In clan matches if you can find a spot to spawn kill, you take advantage of that and kill as many as you can. If the person can't get out of the way, its their loss.

Also quite cheap, when u spawn u are still for about a half second and thats all people need to snipe you from distance. hake:

ive come to terms with it to. its part of the game. if you are sly enough to get into a position to spawn kill, then fine by me. they will miss eventually, or someone ll kill them.

allOmaha should not be compared to e.g. Destroyed Village. Spawn killing is inherent to Omaha beach. It's supposed to be difficult to reach the bunker (as in the singleplayer mission). Also, on Omaha, there are lots of spawn places, you normally don't spawn at the same position three times in a row. In DV, this is possible. Zooming in on the spawn and shoot every player that pops up is not skill. On DV, I once got sniped by the same sniper, on the same spawn position, three times in a row. Very nice.

I personally never (intentionally) spawn kill. Not fun. No satisfaction. No skill. I can not even grasp why people like it. If winning is all that counts, join a public server with just newbies.

I got hit 6 or 7 times in a row by Cethin and lysis in a pratice two weeks ago. Now I understand spawn killing is a bitty dodgey in pub play, but believe me, we find ways to do it in matches. Without giving to much away, I can say that on certain maps we will set up players to hold certain spawn areas and force the other team into a spawn in order to get spawn kills. That takes skill junior.

There is no skill to sniping in Mohaa...... none at all........ most n00bs can rack up kills..... because it is so easy.

whether a sniper camps or not, as long as they dont spawn kill intentionally, shouldnt make a difference in whether they are good or not, if they can hide and hit their marks than they are good by my standards,and even better if they make close range strafe shots and can kill a guy falling from a building, if they can do that they good, and as i see it, you are all pissed at snipers cuz they pick your asses off in every game, and when you can win you go play chickin with a Pussy Gun
