Rhetorical Question
 

If someone knocked on your door and asked you if you wanted to join their cause in ridding the "evil" in your city/town (drug dealers, gangsters, murderers, rapists, etc.) under the guidance of God, would you join them?

Which God? Odin? And how would the evil be vanquished? With Miller Light catfight ads? If i was going to make an educated response (which i hope to this point i havent), then i need to know these things.... oOo:

IF anyone comes to my house and utters the word god I slam the door in their face. But ridding my street of evil hmmmm.....Everyone one on my street is 50+ excluding me and my bro

If you speak of vigilant justice under a "Christian God" with extreme prejudice then no.

I basically asked myself this question after I watched Boondock Saints. Is vigilantism ok if the intentions are good?

Aren't those the born again christians that come to my house all the time? I don't answer the door anymore when they come.

I would be all for ridding the streets of evil, but if they mentioned god i would have to kill them too, as i think the people who go knocking at doors spreading the word of god, are evil too. well maybe not evil, but deserving of a severe kicking in.

Uh, no. Drug dealers are providing a service, gangsters are my friends and
the murderers/rapists can be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. No need to
bring God into this. Besides, we'll never have a Utopian society so forget it...

my street has no evil on it, except for this person across the street my sister and I hate, they always looka at uis weirdly...She's weird also, the bus to pick her up for her daughter (16 years old) stop right by their house, and she has to DRIVE her daughter to the bus stop. Its practically 50 yards away oOo:

If you could rid your neighborhood of evil. Why would it matter if god were involved or not. The end result would be the same. I would only help if i got to do most of the shooting. Sittin in the bushes 3 blocks away and puttin a round in a drug dealers ear would give me great pleasure.I could justify it by calling it gods work.Im thinking 22/250. very fast and acrurate bullet. Plenty of power to get the job done without fear of it hitting another neighbors house. At a further distance i could kill a second one before he relized the first one was hit.

If you're going after drug dealers, may I suggest every place you can find
cigarettes and alcohol as well ? Oh, don't forget pharmacies! I hear those
places are gold mines...

Yeah, see; I'm caught in the middle. It's good because you're cleaning the streets and all, but we're lowering ourselves to their level. Also, I believe some of these colourful people are necessary. Drug dealers help weed out those who are succeptable to addiction, murders kill off the weak, and so on.

Am I the only god fearing man here? Anyhow, I am a christian and I don't care if you aren't. I believe in freedom of religion and in the separation of church and state. I don't think mixing God and "justice" is a good thing at all. Boondock Saints however is a great movie.

yea it was a good movie but i dont think having vigelantes running around shooting people is a good solution
