Some good stuff coming out in Rock lately, and I was wondering what you guys liked out of the new stuff. Limp Bizkit, Staind, Metallica, Godsmack, Disturbed, 311, White Stripes, Linkin Park, Blur, Deftones, and POD are all coming out with new CD's, or just recently made a new CD. Here's some of the newer stuff that I thought was cool.

ah, i used to like Linkin Park, but now they completely sold out and they started to make songs about girls leaving them. Shut up and live life, she left you. So shut up about it, dont make songs

I just wanna here what the new Metallica album is gonna sound like. Other than that the only new music I like is Audio Slaves album. Everything else just sounds the same.

Sorry, but I don't get what people see in The White Stripes. Every time "Seven Nation Army" comes on the radio, I punch the CD button and rock some Maiden.

I'm not real big on modern heavy metal. I like 80's metal better, along with a little bit of punk. I listen to late 80's/early 90's country mostly. I'm probably the only one here who likes country.

Which can be cool. I like some newer bands, too. I think Chevelle have potential. Staind's first record was awesome, but the last one was nothing special. Same goes for 3 Doors Down and Papa Roach...great first records, but insignificant sophmore efforts.

Check out a band called Down. If you don't like Down, you don't like heavy music.

Staind dosnt have a song entitled "What would you do". The song your looking for is: Staind - Open Your Eyes.

This is the only CD im looking forward to, May 20th. 14 Shades of Grey. All this new age "emo", punk, wanna be rock shit blows ass. Even Disturbed's new CD sucked ass, that was a major let down after loving there first CD. Last CD i bought was AudioSlave, mostly cause i loved Sound Garden. Everything else now days is just one hit wonder bands that will be gone in a year or less with there one CD, and one single hit song that gets over played on the radio.

I'm not big on all those "The xxx" retro bands, although I do like The Strokes. I don't like The White Stripes. Linkin Park sucks, as do most of the other bands popping up lately.

My favorite bands that fit into this category (in no particular order) are Incubus, 311 (new album coming up), Tool, Weezer, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, and Coldplay. Besides those, there are a couple others obviously, but I listen to a lot of jazz stuff these days because so much current mainstream music sucks. Soulive and The Flecktones are fuckin' awesome.

My god I can't believe none of you have heard of Nothingface. They are the biggest underground metal band of all time. Though their new CD kinda sucks... too weak. 'Violence' is still their best.

I agree Nothingface sucks balls. I dont really listen to much straight up metal, I mainly listen to hardcore. Check out Evergreen Terrace,It Dies Today, Sinai Beach and Curl Up and Die if you like hardcore. They are the main bands I've been listening to lately and are really good.

Coldplay is one of the only other bands I like that isnt hardcore. The only other one I like is Radiohead.

Green day is good. BUt you listen to them too much and they can get annoying. I dont like GNR b/c they dissed Nirvana. I love Nirvana b/c they dissed GNR and have simple awsome music. Rap is getting to big. We need to shut it own. I dont know one rapper from the other. Only that one of them wears a bandaid on his cheek and some r fat, some are "THUGS" and some are girly
