kar43 needs skin
 

i started making this a while ago, and now ive got LR, i decided to finish it, and add the bones. ive made a basic skin for it, but i cant skin guns at all, so i need someone else to skin it, while i work out how to make anims. this replaces the kar98 btw, to give the axis a gun mroe equal to the garand. itll have more rounds, and a faster rate of fire than the garand, but do less damage
heres some ingame screenshots. the model still needs some work, but those bits are just plain metal so the skin will be easy for me.

It looks awesome! What did you use to base your model on? A picture? The g-43 from dod? Also after you get the custom animations done what about a custom sound mod to go with the gun...

the k43 is a real gun. its the german equivalent of the m1 carbine, but i think the germans had theirs first. i used this photo to make it:

i made the model model, and its not converted from any other game or anything, so i will release it. i released all the other guns i made, even tho they arent finished yet

Hey Uber did you guys finish skinning it yet? If so when do you think you'll be able to release it to the forums?

The Germans attempted to produce a semi-auto rifle to match the performance of the M1 Garand, but failed, but their semi-auto G43 improved upon the gas-operated, self-cocking mechanism of Carl Walther's G41 semiauto rifle. Nevertheless, both models were more complex, heavy and less reliable than the Garand. It never did replace the excellent bolt-action K98k as the primary German infantry rifle.

The K43 was used by special troops like Fallschirmjägers and SS, not widely cos it was not very reliable, but it saw combat. Was used as Sniper Rifle too...
