WW2 Frontline Command
 

Has anyone played the WW2 Frontline Command demo? It's a ww2 style rts and i really enjoy it. I am only interested in historic games, the futuristic starcraft shit never struck a chord with me.

ya I played teh demo... its pretty cool...... just I need a faster computer =\

yeah, i hated Starcraft, but I liked Warcraft. But that game dosnt look interesting. Ill see if I can "try" it out to see

Hell yes, I'm waiting for Blitzkrieg too. The FC demo was too arcady for me.

blitzkrieg demo is very good, so far it is the best I hve played

Yeah, Blitzkrieg is definently a game I'm looking forward to. Of course I've always been a fan of CDV games; Cossacks, Sudden Strike, Sudden Strike II and American Conquest are my top RTS games.

Yeah, Blitzkrieg is the best I've played so far too, and SS and SS2 were really good, I have both. CDV seems to publish the greatest RTS games.

Those screens aren't Blitzkrieg. Blitzkireg is a 2d/3d hybrid so to say, that is extremely realistic, i.e., suicide taking a tank from the front, best to go to the sides or back.

well i played the demo of blitzkrieg today and i liked it alot. I havnt passed all 3 parts yet (on the american mission trying to use my scout to kill a bunch of germans). I think ill buy this game instead of waiting for frontline command, it is much more fun and i think the models are a little more accurate

Hey old, I presume you've played the demo. Have u passed the part of the american mission where you need to get your scout to eliminate the aa guns? I can only elimnate 2 without getting found out oOo:

Hmm, if you hide away under a tree, you should be able to. That's a really fun mission, I like it a lot. I'm saving up my money for it, definately buying it.

yea i love the game, the missions are so much more complex than Frontline command. I can never manage to do it though..i need to creep closer to get a shot at the rest and get blown away

lol thats the easiest mission, you gotta go all around the map crawling

I think what I did, was I just sped up the time speed, snuck to the houses over on the left side of the AA guns, and shot a few from a building, then snuck around the hedges, and shot through those or something, I think. It's really great. Now I can't wait, I'm all hyped now.

Oh, and Germ, how can you compare it to Homeworld 2? It's totally different.

Yeah, Battlefield Command, aka WW2 RTS looks to be really great too, although out in a year, Blitzkrieg is probably going to be the best WW2 in terms of realism until then.

my comp can barely handle blitztkrieg (i run it at 800 by 600 by 32) so i dont think i will be able to handle battlefield command hake:

lol check out codemasters site it wont be released until 2004

Yeah, no demo, was really just announced to be that title last month, and the screen is from Battlefield Command. Heh, it's made on an advanced IL2 Sturmovik engine I beilive.
