the best voice program?

We use Roger Wilco right now and it BLOWS... what other programs are out there and what do you suggest?

Akuma 05-03-2003 04:26 PM

Team Speak 2 is great.

gtboys34 05-03-2003 04:29 PM

yeah everyone has jumped and humped teamspeak 2 so id suggest u download that 1. Also i have a question about rw in gamespy. Ok it says that when u get registered u can use rw in game or something like that but my question is, cant we already use rw in game with the program?

Dragonwraith 05-03-2003 05:01 PM

LOL yea you can use the RW in game but i think since GS owns RW they push it that way to make it sound "needed". I believe they way they advertise it if you read close is you can use RW in the GS chatrooms. WOOOO HOOOO who gives a crap! ! Any other suggestions for voice programs?

gtboys34 05-03-2003 07:52 PM

thanx for clarifying that. Nah, i dont think there is any more good voice programs that can be used in game but im not sure

Dragonwraith 05-03-2003 08:05 PM

What he said. I used to be a big Roger Wilco fan, but their connections got crappy, and their features died out. Now I use Teamspeak, and it's great! Learn more here:

i hear ventrillo is great

moose175 05-04-2003 07:36 AM

I have used both TS and RW. TS wins out hands down. Channels are easy to setup and the voice is great. Plus you can change all your settings easily via a webpased admin page. moose175.

Ah this is true TS2 RC2 is the best voice chat out thier right now Clear and Clean Voice that all can hear and work with very well. Try it and i know that you will not go back to Roger Wilco.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Static 05-04-2003 10:19 AM

I like Sidewinder Gamevoice ,handy as it uses msn within it

TheDestroyer 05-04-2003 01:50 PM

Dragonwraith 05-04-2003 05:00 PM

indeed, i heard from Ventrilo 2, it should work better than TS2 if my crewmates are right.... biggrin:

anoXia 05-07-2003 03:34 PM

TeamSpeak 2 is pretty good, one thing i like about it is the ability to build channels inside of your server.

The Plague of Death 05-08-2003 02:41 PM

My clan uses Ventrillo, We used to use TS. While there are more options is TS, ventrilo sound quality is much better.

Himmler 05-09-2003 11:34 AM

Ventrilo is the best...www.ventrilo.com but you need a good server to host it or get a good connection. Most i can have on mine is about 11 people on, anymore then my ping jumps to 700, 999, and around there. I am on a 3Mbps so if u got a 1.5 then it will prolly lag with 5 or so people on there.

MOMMA 05-09-2003 02:25 PM

Agreed Ventrillo is very good. Also if you want you can get someone like iLAN to host it for like 10 bucks a month.
