Well theres a quicker way to dig ground for a pool...Wow man, thats awesome. Im guessing your on Omaha Beach in that pic. If i went there, i would not enjoy the sights bu just think of what those men did on that fateful day...Brave, brave men

DDB101st 05-07-2003 08:19 PM

yes i was exactly the way you are there but i was happy to be there in the sense that it was a place i really wanted to go to! and it happened and trust me at the cemetry at omaha, i simply sat down beside a grave and huged it and said thanks and a prayer. If it were not for those men i would not be here right now.

Old Reliable 05-07-2003 11:01 PM

nice photos man, hopefully when I go to Russia i'll take some pictures of Stalingrad

Wow, great pics. If you have anymore please post them. Some of us have never been there and would love to see your pics. It must be an awesome experience to stand on the same ground where the greatest battle of all time took place. God bless all those men who gave their lives for our freedom.

DDB101st 05-08-2003 04:40 AM

P.S. In normandy if you ever go i suggest going to Point du Hoc, and you will understand why i call it a "moon scape" well that picture of me in the crater was taken there and i will show u another pic of a view down some of point du hoc and you will see what i mean via moon scape.

Bazooka_Joe 05-08-2003 08:28 AM

Very nice, man. Did you take any pics of the landing craft? I know theres a bunch of them all rusted up on the beach.

For some reason, that bunker looks like they filled it with cement

What exactly is that hole at the side? Looks like its an underground bunker.

I think the top thing is a fake, it looks like a gun slot from far away to confuse naval gunners, also it gets blown up by bombs instead of the actual bunker, and protects teh guys inside the real thing below. Damn these smart krauts.

the hole looks a lot like what battleship turrets are inserted into, so maybe there used to be a coast defense gun on it but it got blown up or dismantled.

Usually after 60 years of lying there they would of all een buried or washed away.....is he telling the truth

Old Reliable 05-08-2003 02:27 PM

yeah, I would highly doubt the authenticity of those items, they were most likely planted

ninty 05-08-2003 02:27 PM

ITS A CONSPIRACY I TELLS YA!!

DDB101st 05-08-2003 03:48 PM

well as a matter of fact i did find something on omaha beach, but my dad said it was a rusted pice of shit from nothing inparticular, but when i went to a museum i noticed the rusted part was actually a mortar plate....... ok im uploading the pictures, and yes i did see some landing crafts but they were outside a museum at utah beach as well as another museum which also had a german 88. And that picture of that bunker probally did have mg 42s in it but the top part was an observation post that looks out over the sea and wow that view was something! You can still climb to the top by a ladder in the back, i will show u the front view soon as these pics up load!

thnx, DD

05-08-2003 04:07 PM

Can't wait to see them! But, damn this makes me wanna go to Normandy so bad now! Is Ohama, and Utah the only beaches you wen't too?
