Theres a point where you can go too far. I think that from the lifestyle that Eminem had, he has the reason to talk and act like he does, and be called "My nigga" by his black friends, because he grew up in a black community.

But anyone else, like Vanilla Ice, even in his prime, was just a loser, IMO.

Otherwise, Rap dosen't suck to me. Eminem puts a good spin on the music with his lyrics, which is why I like a few of his songs.

I only listen to Nelly thats the only kind of rap i listen to i mostly listen to punk and rock bandes like system of a down, 3 doors down, and linkin park and alot of others. Rap is not my favorite but i do listen to it but not a whole lot.

Im not Goth but im mostly punk and normal not all Goths are bad they just dress because of the music they listen to. I listen to Gothic music but i dont dress like them.

I have basically two jobs, I work at a hemp shop, and a part time youth care worker. I do alot of volunteer work and get paid for it. I get alot o my income from my father's life insurance and death benefits along with my trust fund. Which gets me about $60,000 a year net, not alot of money but pretty good for 18.

pretty damn good for an 18 yr old. most 18 yr olds I see in my town are still sitting on the fricking corners, twiddling their thumbs.

Back on topic, I like some Rap music (Old school, Not hip hop), but I think these white suburban middle to high class white kids dressing like "brothers" is dumb. I can see if you grew up in the projects or something then its acceptable (probably imperitive to survive). Anyways this topic is gonna start a flame war.

Let me show you something - Hip Hop Culture. It has four elements, DJing, MCing, Breakdancing and Graffiti art. Every hiphop head knows this and, as you can see, RAP is just a part of it (MCing).

So therefore, Rap IS Hiphop. Just like DJing (Turntablism, Producing).

Just thought I should let you know, some of you don't seem to understand that there is a difference between Rap & Hiphop.

Hiphop culture is taken seriously by a lot of people, and with all this exploitation going on these days, and jokes about the whole b-boy thing, it doesn't get taken seriously. (Bringing Down The House, Malibu's Most Finest)

Also - Gangster rap is actually a small sub-genre of rap. It is just exploited by record companies and the media for obvious reasons. Money. Stupid fucking wiggers eat that shit up. Whereas, real hip-hop heads couldn't care less.

If you don't like hiphop and the artists currently all over the media, then sit tight and shut the fuck up. The commercial side of the genre is pretty much just a fad and will be gone in a couple years. You'll see less white people running around acting black sooner or later.

But Hip Hop culture has a growing status in the music world.....If you have something against a type of music (Which just sounds fucking DUMB when you say it) then you have a mutherfucking problem, and you need to see someone who can help you stop bitching like a whiney fucking tard.
