Yes psychomerc very helpfull you gibbering moron. oOo:

To make the game run better just turn down model detail and terrain detail, lower your resoloution to like 800x600. Set the "effects" to lowest as well, also turn off the lighting effects for the models etc.

Noordy 05-24-2003 12:10 PM

My PC's specs are well more than high enough to run this game on full settings

My problem is i get crappy FPS with everything set to lowest on 800x600

and if is et them to highest the FPS are exactly the same it does nothing at all
thats why im lookin for help im sorta lost lol

Make sure u got anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering disabled on ur vid card too.

Type com_maxfps 0 in console, that uncaps it, this only helps if you're maxing out at 99 fps anyway.

But since the human eye can only see 30 fps..

isnt there a command to turn off in the system to bios to help with ure video card? I think its called" video ram caching"

HAHA Fools! I have glasses therefore I see at 64 FPS!

As abrupt as it was Psychomerc`s advice was the best, I'm afraid.

No matter what clock speed your Celeron runs at it is still technology of an old generation. It's the only thing that will likely be causing your FPS issues.

By the way, I have an Athlon XP 2000+, 512 DDR ram and a gforce3 64 MB but I still only get 30-40 FPS on Bridge. It's playable, without a doubt, but Bridge is just a very slow map (looking down the length of it outside).

20FPS average was what I got with my old Duron 700 (with no players on the map).

Upgrade your CPU to Athlon/P4 generation and your FPS issues will dissapear.

No matter how many options you take off your CPU is causing the main bottleneck. You could have texture division at max (ie no textures rendered at all just plain shading) all models and details and curves and terrain set to lowest, turn off the sky and still, you'll suffer bad FPS.

He is a genius.

I love my 3.2 GHz P4 (o/ced from 3.06)

biggrin:

05-24-2003 09:45 PM

LMAO. I dunno if i believe you about that......

05-24-2003 09:49 PM

want a pic of my system bios? it says 3.2 GHz, physical memory available - XXX,XXX kb

[MOD]Gen.WikiWeaponn 05-24-2003 11:03 PM

Some guys overclocked a pentium 3.06 to 4 Ghz!!!

Course they had to cool it with liquid nitrogen, but hey....

Hye ive got an idea lets put our computers in the outer reaches of space so we can overclock them indefinately! wow such fun!!!!!!!!!!!! oOo: meh...

Short Hand 05-25-2003 04:08 PM

It is that god danm celery for a proccesor you have. Celerons are complete and utter garbage. You ram and video card are good. It is just that lame ass processor holding yo back. They arent nick named celery for a reason.

Dj RaNnY kAn 05-25-2003 05:21 PM

another thing is delet your entire computer (forget what it called something like formating or something) i did that and gainded about 30 fps on average with me geforce 4

05-25-2003 09:30 PM

Will, give me a reason I should believe you? Remember you Linux desktop? I dunno how you managed that with Win XP.....

Short Hand 05-25-2003 10:36 PM

- type into the console COM_maxfps "600" should give you some results.
- if not satisfied format and type in the same thing in the console.
- If you are still not satisfied upgrade the POS Celery(Celeron) in your comp.

UnKnOwN MaStEr 05-26-2003 05:03 PM

Try typing set com-maxfps 999 that helps me swordfight: bigzooka:

05-26-2003 05:15 PM

com_maxfps 0 sets your fps to infinite

i turned norefresh off and got 1,200 fps, but with that off it draws no polys so its a black screen..

ArcAngel 05-27-2003 09:04 AM

I have a 2.4ghx P4
1 gig of DDR Ram
Geforce 4, 4200 - 64mb.
Game resolutions on 1024 x 768, everything else on max.

Average FPS = 90 - 120.

Um....no. Maybe on stock maps (and even then probably not), but not all custom maps are as efficient (makes me laugh to say effecient and MOH inthe same sentence). Bridges is definately a resource hog. I drop into the 20s and 30s in parts of it with a system that is 2X-3X the one you listed.

Noordy 05-28-2003 11:22 AM

this is the problem yet again.... I have no difficulty running other similar games like RTCW and SF2 maxed out with no lag at all but with Mohaa it just absolutly kills me if im not in an enclosed room.. I guess it must be the design of the levels in the game ... meh thnx for yur help

MOH is a notorious resource hog. Bad code or something. I could play RTCW on a amd 400Mhz. I had to upgrade to a 733 to play MOH and then to a 2.2 AND a new vid card to get max performance.
