DEVILS ADVOCATE 05-26-2003 03:11 PM

Im so getting one of them biggrin:

05-26-2003 03:14 PM

i got one, i hate it, lags too much

DEVILS ADVOCATE 05-26-2003 03:17 PM

How the hell can a mouse lag oOo:

Tiwaz 05-26-2003 03:48 PM

You can do it with any mouse, but it's easier with a cordless mouse.

As for lagging: Old optical mouse could 'lag' (low refresh rate). If you have a new one, it should be no problem. Some still prefer a mouse with a ball and even with a cord. I tried them all, and I can say that my performance is the same with any mouse, as long as it's not a cheap brand.

A good mouse pad helps aswell i guess biggrin:

You know those crazy FPS pros use a 1x1 foot mouse pad? They stand up while playing.

Play standing ...wtf....

I tried that once, didn't work too well.

PiranhaEXT 05-26-2003 10:19 PM

For 1) I could never play standing up or else id fall 2) I always sit on my nice lil butt :) very comfy in my chair

as for the mouse, u can do that spinny thing:) very fun ... I got the Microsoft Optical Wireless BLUE mouse :) I like it alot! I think my batteries are low or my mouse pad sucks - my mouse pad is built into my desk! i got a huge real wood $1,000 desk for my $2500 computer! :-D and the mouse pads are plastic so i think i need find my old gateway mouse pads!

05-26-2003 10:23 PM

yea i got a nice leather chair

Star85 05-26-2003 11:05 PM

one of thoise thumb mouse balls

ArcAngel 05-27-2003 08:55 AM

I did some reasearch on this a few months ago.
The soinning is done not by a mouse but with a binding setup within a .cfg file.
I'm not gonna post it as everyone will end up doing it.
But basically a key is assigned to tur on and off the spinning. You can then choose how fast you spin etc.

No real benefit, apart from looking crazy in the game!

yeh they prolly use scripts, although i asked some people how they did it and they said they did it by turning mouse sensitivity all the way up in the in game moh options screen...

I have the sensitivity set at maximum while plating. Spinning your mouse will make you spin in the game as well then. Easy with cordless mouse.

I never do that.

EoMac 05-28-2003 10:22 AM

I heard that optical mouses were actually harder to use because they tend to "zero out". If thats the case wouldn't using a ball mouse be better for MoH?

Lt_Data1 05-28-2003 03:37 PM

A trackball also makes spinning around rapidly much easier than using a mouse. A guy here at work uses one for playing and computing. Personally, I can't stand track balls.

ArcAngel 05-29-2003 03:33 AM

I use a Microsoft Optical Intelli Mouse.
No ball.
It beats a normal ball mouse hands down, no contest!
And I hacn't ameneded the sensitivity at all.
