but in real life the bunkers were farther away, i believe 2015 said that in the game is the actual distance in how far away the mg42 gunners were. Spr was wrong

One thing I'm tired of is people nit-picking SPR. Not saying you are but your comment made me remember a site where people posted every LITTLE thing that was wrong with SPR. Pissed me off.

Depends on where the MG42 was located. If it was in a bunker (which I can't see from the pic) it would have been further away. If it was a WN (WiederstandsNeste) it could have been much closer to the beach.

You know, it might be just a zoomed in pic of the beach.

what were the real average distance between the shore and the site the higgin(sp) boat dropped them off to that of the virtual distance we will have to travel in the game?

Hard to tell. The distance differed a lot because the beaches are smaller at some places and larger at others.

I've looked from the top of the dunes at Colleville-sur-mer towards Omaha Beach and the beach you had to cross there was pretty large.

Well. I haven't to all http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif I've seen Normandy, Bretagne, Arnhem/Nijmegen, Remagen, Ardennes (not to see where the offense took place) and a few more, but not all.
