If you have a Microsoft or Logitech mouse, it shouldn't be too difficult. Other brand? Then the advice is to buy on eof the above, if I remember correctly.

if u guarantee me that Microsoft and Logitech works fine im gettin one of those 2...

Tiwaz 06-03-2003 06:30 AM

I don't guarantee. All I can tell you is that I have a Logitech Cordless Mouse with three buttons and a wheel. It works.

Wait for Bazooka_Joe (or another member of this forum) to reply, I believe he mentioned he has a Microsoft or Logitech mouse.

In the mouse options, assign a key to that particular mouse button (e.g. 'backspace' or some character).

In MoHAA, assign that same key (maybe clicking that button will result in the same) to the function you want to use the button for.

Good chance this is the solution.

Worked ike a champ with my logitech mx500. I think I assigned the page up and page down keys to my two thumb buttons.

well i downloaded the software to microsofts mouse and it works with other brands,so...i use it to config the 4,5 buttons to delete/backspace and then just went to the Control Panel in mohaa and voila :)

i gurantee microsofts intellipoint mouse works. thats what im using now

ozzy1965 06-03-2003 09:12 AM

I also gurentee that the Logitech mx500 works. You have to use the Microsoft software though, not the logitech software, you also have to use the PS2 port not the USB.

The newest logitech drivers allow all buttons to work in any directx or OpenGL based game.

Dude Microsoft Intell 3.0 mouse is the best out thier right now, using cordless mouse 1 day your in a match and battery goes dead have to shut down your RIG and get new battiers. Why play with fate with Battery power
when electricty does the job and then some. I use the 3.0 Intel mouse
nothing beats it.

the one i use

ozzy1965 06-07-2003 08:43 AM

The microsoft is half as fast as the Logitech, Youll have to turn down your mouse speed to at least half when you first use the Logitech, so I don't believe the Micrsoft is better in any way.

Carlitos1 06-07-2003 03:44 PM

Ok the ozzy can the Lontech due this can it track the movents by scanning your desktop 6,000 times per second. If so post what the that Longtech u are talking about.

Carlitos1 06-07-2003 03:46 PM

By the way its the Microsoft Intell mouse 3.0 that i was refering to i forgot to put that in the response.

ozzy1965 06-07-2003 06:49 PM

I have the 500, the one with the cord, I too wasn't too crazy about the battery deal. The cord doesn't bother me either. I'm not sure what the specs are on that but I did hear something like the lazer eye in the Logitech is like 7 times faster than the microsoft. It will even work on glass. The logitech won't even come close to doing that. I tried it.

rudedog 06-08-2003 07:57 AM

most "LED" mice from both MS and Logitec are the same as far as responding to movement.

Optical mice update movement much faster then old "Ball" mice. The old problems with Logitec mice was it's drivers but as joe stated. they now work with most games.

Carlitos1 06-08-2003 07:06 PM

By the way now that we are on this what do u play in PS2 port or USB ports
By far USB ports blow away the PS2 as far as speed and reading the respones times. Any one else

Carlitos1 06-08-2003 07:07 PM

Opps i use USB ports all the way i hear thier is Firmawre out thier that make the USB ports that much faster.

Mouse Button 4 + 5

I purchased a microsoft 5 button trackball, do i have to install the intellipoint software in order for it to work with MOHAA? it says i must uninstall my synaptic software in order to run Intellipoint. If i do this will my touchpad no longer work? Does intellipoint run touchpads? i dont always like to bring my mouse when i use my laptop out of my house. Forcing me to always have that trackball with would be a pain.
