Ok, in real life, there were thousands of allied troops storming the beach. This isn't quite possible in this game, but I would like to see a lot of allied and nazi troops battling. How is it in the game?
Also, will I be able to edit the maps and add more people, for instance to Omaha Beach? Thanks, AC |
EH! What is your computer stats (proccesor, ram) Also we all know that there where allot more soilder on D-Day. They did not have all of them beacuse that would play slow on people's computers. Witch will make that level unpopular.<<<<<<<<<<<<The D-Day from MOH:AA is the best so far that is BASICLY LIKE IT WAS. They dont want to screw it all up.
|
Also I dont know about how to put more soilders in
|
BTW, you would need to know how to make mods etc.etc.etc.etc.
|
are you tryin to get ur post scores up?
|
Hunda you have the game right? How many men are on Omaha?

You can get a pretty good idea from the screen shots I took (I turned around and took screen captures of them).
I would say 50 or so before the sand, then 25 after you get up on the beach. You can view the screenies at http://68.52.82.87:8004/mohaa/ After you actually get up to the bunkers, there are only 4 with you. |
No I am not> I just came out with the idea's when I left to do something.
|
dude if they had hundreds of men storming the beach you know how much ram and graphics capabilities that would have to require. sure it is more realistic but its a game it would work if we all had 4.5 ghz computers but we dont so thats that. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I read in an interview afew months back that there are lots of dead guys on the ground that don't use a high polycount as the life ones so it doesn't slow things down too much, although they said a good amount come out to keep your comp running nice while pulling it off well. In the future I'm sure someone will make a mod or something that will add tons more enemies as long as your comp can hold it, thuogh either way it will kickass. l8r.

Yeah man in every game that is made that is trying to be realisitic. THERE ARE SACRIFICES MADE. Like that there is not going to be a Flame thrower
|
I know! I want a flamethrower to torch Wehrmacht grunts!!! WAAAHH!!!!

MAn why you edit that pic. Ea can get you for that now. Just read the TOS in one of there downloads
|
Well dont worry though.
|
Ok man ok

I've played the level and there's no more than 25 guys - dead or alive. Once you reach the shingle there's maybe 10, then once the barbed wire is cleared six more get gunned down. You end up with three other guys, and two of them get blown away shortly after... Hell, we've all seen the vids.
What really creates a sense of landing with many more men is the audio - it's amazing. |
My system is the following:
1.2 Gig AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1024MB PC-133 RAM 60 Gig 7200 RPM HD That basically sums it up. Hey Hunda, what kind of system do you have, and does it run smoothly on it? Thanks, AC |
But suppose adding ten more wouldn't hurt right? or 20 even.
|
Guys, theres 100 All in all on the map as you play, if you stick around by the LAnding point, youll notice them respawning out of nowhere.. Thats why -
---------------SPOILER--------------- When you take out the MG's in the Bunker you see so many guys running up the beach.. And remember, its only Dog Sector.. Which is like 1/4th of the entire beach. |
i read somewhere on this board about this guy who was cleaning his closet and found a fps that came out in the early 90s. of course he couldn't play it, but in his reminescing of the games, he thought about the differences between medal of honor and the decades old game. i wonder what kind of surprises will come to the fps a decade after this game is released, and whether we'll have any memories of the hours we spent on this game or will we forget about it, like so much minutae in our minds.
just some thoughts. |

I play games from '82 still, on my new Dell P4-2.0mhz XP box. A few tricks, and they play just as they did in '82. [This message has been edited by hossy904 (edited January 16, 2002).] |
