Well, since the great Joe is leaving, I'm sure someone will have to take his place - vote on who you think should be the next mod.

Ydiss would be a good choice if he even wants this job.

Before anyone chimes in and says "Pick me Pick ME!!!", realize that modding this forum is a mostly thankless job. Most times, you can do no right.

You have to put up with shit that you never thought you'd have to put up with. You have to deal with people fairly, but since the idea of "fairness" is pretty subjective, no doubt you'll get inundated with PMs and posts flaming your ass to kingdom come.

If you want to help the site grow by being a responsible, positive example, then by all means throw your hat into the ring. If you just want the power to lock/delete/edit threads for the purpose of being an asshat, don't bother. Moderators can be banned too.

I think the present mods should decide. They (at least, most of them, not all of them are posting/modding regularly?) can judge whether someone is suited for the job. There are some people here that are, many others aren't.

Good luck with that.

But maybe another mod isn't necessary? These last few days, Joe hasn't been around that much, and everything went fine. Probably mostly because of Zoner, but modding is not always visible, so I'm sorry if I'm stepping on some toes here.

My vote would be Innoxx or pest or Ydiss. Either of those would be fine, no preference.

Personally I don't have a problem the way the forum is modded nowadays. Some do, but they are just assholes who lack reason, understanding or any common sense. Or are too young. Considering we're talking about a videogame here, the last argument is probably most suitable and also the reason for the other arguments.

Yeah, I say the current mods should decide. Though I am up for the job. I hope Ydiss and I both become mods because he is a great guy and these forums need all the mods it can get. I also say Zoner should be promoted to admin.

Well, im a mod at a car forum and its qutie good. fair enough there are only about 500 members but the forums only been up a year.
I wouldnt mind being a mod here, but not much chance of me getting a vote!

Yeah, I think you're right, now that I think of it. I posted that another mod may not be necessary, but sometimes it takes quite some time for some necessary modding to occur. If there would be more (active?) mods, the chance of a mod being online is bigger.

If Joe is really leaving, a new admin is required. Since he is the most active mod at the moment, it probably should be Zoner, yes.

I'm with everybody else with the Innoxx/Ydiss mod. I wouldn't mind doing it as well, but those guys have been around longer.

Thas is not always a valid argument. There are many people who have been around longer than others. Not all of them are suited. One should have been around long enough to know what they're up to. Consider me: Too short (and some think I'm a n00b, hehe, idiots). Consider Chronic: Long enough.

I think people should present themsevles as "candidates" before anyone casts a vote anf forces someone into a situation that they dont want to be in.

i would cast a vote for ydiss. he seems to be a level headed and smart guy who knows how to hold a discussion on an adult level. i think he would be make a great mod.

innoxx on the other hand is way the hell and gone too childish for the job. post count does not make the mod. ive seen him start too much crap with too many people to consider him a canadate for moderator of this site. ive seen his posts in the mods section do nothing else but flame someone for no good reason. im not saying he sould be banned but i dont see how he could be in consideration to become a moderator.

I'll be the first to admit that I talk to much too loud, but I get shit done. There are alot of things about aa.com that purturb me. Those members or issues that do annoy me will get a taste of my thought. However, I am a very nice guy to those who deserve it. Some 12 year old punk who types in caps, spams the smilies, types in broken english and thinks we owe him the world are mainly the type of members that annoy me.

I spend a large part of my free time browsing these forums and what I see is ingenuousness of the highest order and it makes me a bitter person. I, like most other regulars and vets of aa.com have asked themselves at least once, "what the hell happened to this place?" ....Well I hope to restore that sense of order to this place.

I have moderated, operated and administrated over six websites, chatrooms and IRC channels in the past. I may be tough, but I am fair.

who cares, I still see n00bs posting utter bullshit whenever I go here so it's not like mods are doing much good, unless we get one for every part of the day or something.

Intelligence really seems to be a problem with people on this Forum, and since Innoxx is Intelligent, he'll have a lot to offer to all of the fucktwits that frequent this site. He also manages #movv.com very well, also.

That answer is going with " If we had to chose someone." But if it was " Do you think we need another mod?", The answer is no.

So do you think the mods need to get more strict or stay the way it is right now?? I think the solution to stop all the BS is to get rid of the clutter, that being the morons who try to act cute and make jokes to be cool when in fact they just come out looking like idiots.
