three Musketeers,
Allistair MacLean's war fiction (Guns of Navarone and Force 10, HMS Ulysses, etc.)
classic sci-fi (like Jules Verne and a lot of eraly US writers)
Lord of the Rings series

bad books:

Harry Pothead
new Star Wars expanded universe novels (OMG they killed Chewie!)
any drivel Ann Coulter put out

Gösta Berlings Saga By Selam Lagerlöf.

I think that book is translated into english not sure tho.

Very good book about revenge etc. Quite fictive too.........

BloodBorn 06-28-2003 12:33 PM

Damnit.....Selma Lagerlöf not Selam

BloodBorn 06-28-2003 12:35 PM

PS.

I think you can rent it as a move, Called Gosta Berlings Story with Greta Garbo. So it's an old movie.

I miss an Edit Button

I just got a new book the other night at Barnes n Noble. It's called German Infantry of 1939-1945. It looks good, but I haven't gotten a chance to read it. I'm waiting for the trip to read it so I'm not bored. Got's some detailed pics and interviews, etc..

The Iceberg Hermit, I don't know the author, but the dude gets shipwrecked and lives on an iceberg and knives a polar bear to death! Awesome book, even though I read it in 3rd grade.

I can already imagine the complex sentences:

"Jimmy saw a polar bear. Jimmy had a knife: he took it out of his left
pocket. The polar bear wanted to play with Jimmy but he was stabbed.
Mr. Polar bear is dead now."

Kidding... I'm sure it r0x0r3d biggrin:
