http://www.comingsoon.net/news.php?id=733
This time it takes place in the Pacific theater. Wonder what kinfd of budget they will have. |
I think BOB did pretty well so it will probly have about the same budget if not more. i cant wait!
|
im guessing the Marines or hopefully 17th ABN
|
I'm waiting for a Korean War pic told from the pov of those poor bastards in Basic who got the rude awakening.
Lol, fucking morons tried that shit on us, asked us to put our heads down, and those "conceintous objectors" to raise there head. Sadly, quite a few dumb asses raised their hands for the DI's to see. Worst. Mistake. Ever. I guess some of them boys was really scared of old Saddam. |
I garuntee it will be about a Marine unit.
|
it shouldnt be though
the ARMY did alot of fighting in the PAcific |
Sounds awesome!

"Friends" ain't Must see TV. This is. Can't wait.
|
true dat zoner, you can download nekked pictures of jennifer on the internet
|
I hope its made in the style of BOB not SPR,
I DO NOT want to see a ragged contingent of Japs nearly take out an elite Marine Raider unit and the only thing that saves the Raiders is an F4F dropping napalm (note: F4Fs were outdated early in war, and were NEVER used for CAS of ground forces) |
I have a feeling it'll be more along the lines of BoB.
Perish the thought of having to see the Japanese army protrayed like they were in "Windtalkers" again... oOo: |
This is VERY good news. There is fuck all on tv at the moment.

|
that's all easily explained. he h4x. cham skins definately plus the obvious aimbot although perhaps he just had norecoil + low ping for that one. then there's the infinite ammo thompson which was a stupid server sided mod.

Wow, i hope the make it like BoB in the sence its all true, and have the real life veterans doing interviews etc.
One thing though, i just dont know how ill be able to watch it without compairing them to the people of BoB. They might call it Pacific Marine Theatre. PMT. |

this sounds like great news, but its sad that Hanks seems to be one of the only ones in Hollywood concerned about the second world war while the veterans are disappearing at a fast rate. most actors are fine with doing shitty movies |
ah thanks for chiming in old, i knew there was SOMEONE i forgot to mention when gerard asked for others to ban

West Point TV Show?
There is a rumor about a Tom Hanks West Point show. Tom Hanks is a principal partner in a company called Playtone Productions. Playtone did the miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon" and is currently producing a 13 part miniseries with Steven Spielberg based on Stephen Ambrose's "Band of Brothers." They have a contract with Fox to produce a pilot for a television series. The working title of the series is "West Point." They are in the final stages on the script, and we are most anxious to read it. Playtone expects this will move along to a series that will air beginning in the fall of 2000. The series will focus on a group of young Americans as they arrive at USMA and progress through the cadet experience. The pilot covers their arrival on R-Day and the first few days of Cadet BasicTraining. The script pilot should be finished this month and they are looking to film in March. At this point, USMA assistance to Playtone has been in the research arena . Hanks' partner (Gary Goetzman) and writers visited us in November and we have been fielding questions from them as they progress with the script. Any additional support - specifically filming here at USMA - will be contingent on DA and DOD approval of the project. This will entail script review for accuracy and plausibility. So, while we are still in the early stages, we are optimistic that this will develop into a network series for the fall of 2000, which would be a significant public affairs opportunity for West Point and the Army. Playtone has asked USMA to not publicize this extensively right now. Speculation is they plan on a media blitz once the series commitment is firm. I'm sure you can understand how excited we are about the prospect of this. Tom Hanks has a sterling reputation when it comes to things military, and we look forward to a first class presentation of West Point. What's this ^? |

Are you that ignorant ? The Marines were the core fighting unit in the pacific. There were only a few ARMY infantry divisions and they mostly occupied islands while the MARINES LEAD THE WAY. |
your right. i dont even know why i said that. wierd-its like i wasnt even thinking oOo:
