OMG Blitz I went to Normandy like 6 weeks ago and took a picture of the exact same grave as you did. Teddy Roosevelt Jr stands out eh?

Oh BTW ppl, there's not much to see of the beach itself. Hard to imagine the chaos of 6th of June when there are people sunbaking, swimming and generally having a good time. So don't get your hopes up about pics from the beach itself.

Hmmm, I was always under the impression that they'd closed off that area of the coast. ....Or at least, it was just too shitty for those kinds of leisure activities.

I personally believe they should close off at least a sector of Omaha as a lot of people died on that beach.

US War Graves over look Omaha beach and there were heaps of people down there, just lazing about. Really there is not much to see, the more significant stuff is mainly at Point du Hoc. There's heaps of bomb craters and destroyed bunkers there.

It always a bit foggy but that day it was unusually foggy......like 10 minutes before the pic was taken you could barely see that bridge thingy...

Looking at the omaha beach pics, the fog almost seems like it has a memory there on it's own and it will never leave
