Me thinks MoH is better, mainly due to the amazing weapon realism and the sound.

This is like the 20th one of these, oh well I will say DoD 2.0 looks great, but I like MOHAA better.

Yes have to wait till Beta 2.0 to compare them better. Things you can compare now are graphics and feel since we know abuot the graphic engines and know how DoD plays as well as MOHAA. MOHAA wins in graphics obviously, Quake 3 vs Quake 2 don't need rocket scientist to discover that. As far as the which plays better its hard to say since they both have some highs though the DOD can hold more players online better than MOHAA since the Quake 2 engine lags less as well as the netcode. Have to wait till beta 2.0 for the rest. L8r.

The sounds in DoD beta 2 are MUCH more realistic than the ones in MoH. Also, since it was created by a bunch of guys just having fun, edge goes to DoD.

The Quake II engine was to expensive for Valve Software back then (remeber: Half-Life was their first game), so they licensed the Quake 1 engine and made various additions.

you do know that before this the only game 2015 did was a mod based on sin, so i don't think that shot at the DOD people was fair!

DOD is an awesome mod...i think MOHAA took a lot from it too.

Quake 1 had a pixel feel to it, and the Quake 2 engine was more or less a rebuilt Quake 1 engine, so both answers could be right http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif.

I personally LOVE Day of Defeat, and I look forward to Beta 2 with bated breath.

One is a very good mod which is due to have a major beta release and the other is a game which isnt even out yet....the question is pointless until both are released and even then DOD is a mod....we will just simply have to enjoy both.

Actually, HL started as a q1 engine game, but as they developed it they kept changing it and adding to it, they did add some elements from the q2 engine. Basically its a hybrid engine using technology based on those engines and stuff they did on thier own. To be fair just call it the HL engine.
