Surfing from Work

Hell yes. GG vc.net for hooking up zee proxy. Okay.. sorry.. bored. Probably want to lock this.

Who else surfs from work via a proxy?

Bucknub 09-13-2003 08:26 PM

maybe if I had a desk job I could do that, let alone an actual job

any of you n00bers have any idea how i can on IRC without downloading a client?

U.P.U.O.A. 09-13-2003 09:38 PM

Simo here,
yeah i made my proxy speciffically for getting around homosexual internet filters, all members of vc.net are welcomed to use it. soon i will install an .htaccess on it thus restricting non members (save bandwidth) but its a good proxy and took about 10 minutes for me to set it up

Noctis, if you just want to chat on IRC, then (if possible) download Mozilla - you can connect to the IRC chat with it.

I going to get flamed by all you jealous people, but I don't need a proxy where I work biggrin:

KSU doesn't care if we use their computers for something other than work, as long as we don't waste all the bandwidth downloading music and movies

SoLiDUS 09-14-2003 10:54 PM

Hell, I always find a way to surf at work!

When I was security guard at the marriott in ottawa, I had to re-configure
the network to allow a shitload of things to come in but it was worth it and
not too much trouble! I watched pr0n with the night auditor... it was funny.

My present work (if you can call it that) has a direct 33.6k connection but
at least it gives me something to do while I'm there for 6 hours of boredom.

Art Attack 09-15-2003 06:51 AM

Yeah, I remember that phone call Soli,
Me : What time you off bud?
SOli : I dunno....
Me : well?
Soli: um...anytime I feel like leaving...

you lucky SOB, I want your job, I hate pushing carts at loblaws.

I played MOHAA from work before,
I also download most demos at work because gamespy fileplanet has less wait time in the morning, then I install the demo and burn the original self-extracting exe to a CD-RW for home.
