Matrix bullets mod help

ok im in the process of makin a matrix bullet mod. wat script do i put to add a smoke trail to the bullets? this would be a funny as hell mod. whoever helps me will get credit (like always). biggrin:

MPowell1944 09-20-2003 09:19 PM

Bullets do not exist in MOH. Hence, you cannot add a trail to something that does not exist.

imported_Grim_Reaper 09-20-2003 09:40 PM

o.......

elitecloud 09-20-2003 09:42 PM

what about when bullets are under water???? make a map full of water, make it that you don't drown, and that it doesn't slow you down....and you have bubble trails LOL but maybe if you changed the bubbles to rings or something...just an idea angel:

nsscorpion 09-20-2003 10:42 PM

my idea

why not do a new tracer image and set tracers on all weapons.
With the effect u want.

Just an idea regards scorp
btw that sig scares me

elitecloud 09-20-2003 11:23 PM

or maybe he wants bullet time with it? like a matrix mod? i wonder if bullet time is possible? just get a hand full of 56kers in the server LOL

Seeing that theres no bullets in the game. Try making the mod part of the weapon. Like when the weapon fires, instead of seeing a flash change it to the mod. Make sure your mod knows where the crosshair is on the screen cause you dont want this thing to move with you.

Hobbes 09-21-2003 12:27 AM

I've servers running a mod that pits tracers on all weapons, should be able to convert that to smoke.

MPowell1944 09-21-2003 08:21 AM

Tracers on weapons isnt possible in AA without negative side-effects, I've tried. Only in SH. However, you can possibly make a real tiny rocket shell as the bullet, then give it a smoke trail. That is the only possible option.

HeadUp 09-21-2003 12:20 PM

dude this needs to be attempted, it would make the game so much fun, if you just ran around dodging bullets
it would probs really slow down the framerate if the game needs to calculate the movement of every single rocket

Short Hand 09-21-2003 12:31 PM

it would be kool.

Dr. Deleto 09-21-2003 01:22 PM

yeah thats what I was thinkin powell. could modify it so all the weapons fired projectiles and model them really tiny like, then add the trail to those.

imported_Grim_Reaper 09-21-2003 01:50 PM

well, looks like im not part of this mod anymore

dude... hake:
there are no bullets in game, what would be the point in making something you cant see? it has to do with the proximity of the crosshair to the target, coupled with a few digital physics details. there are no bullets in game, the only way it could be done is through the mini-rockets we were talking about

MPowell1944 09-21-2003 06:44 PM

Update. I currently have the bullet trails mod working and am testing out some things I am messing around with. I will keep you updated.

imported_Grim_Reaper 09-21-2003 07:01 PM

gj, powell. i wish i coulda done this mod cry:

HeadUp 09-21-2003 07:08 PM

hahaha awwww i feel bad for grim_reaper

you should try also grim

101stSpeirs 09-21-2003 08:26 PM

why not make tracers lookd like the bullet trails in the matrix, and make them stay around a little longer

Merlin122 09-21-2003 09:08 PM

y not just try replacing the tracers with the animations for underwater shooting? (i am a total n00b at skinning and have released few crappy skins that i have made. dont laugh at me)

sam-man 09-22-2003 03:40 AM

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but i made a Matrix bullet mod for my now stopped The Motrix vids. I made each weapon fire rocket shells. I reskinned the rockets to they were tiny little chrome bullets. I removed the explosion from the tiki and all was good.

Only problem was, serious lag when firing off a SMG clip..

Oh, also slowed down the movement speed of the rockets and set gravity to 0...
Worked perfectly...

MPowell1944 09-22-2003 07:30 AM

This mod most likely wont fully work. Yes, you can achieve bullet trails, however, the bullets will no longer kill anyone. I tested for awhile yesterday, and I couldn't kill anyone while using the mod.

Now that would be an intresting mod. Having every weapon fire a minature rocket with scaled down explosion sound like a lot of fun.

Just imagine a smg fire them on full auto - let the mayhem commence. quickshot:

You could be right. But if your not then pleasr get some screanshots up when you can biggrin:

MPowell1944 09-22-2003 03:01 PM

Well, I tried to not have the explosion occur, because well, its a bullet not a rocket that is supposed to be hitting you. I'll try tweaking the explosion so that it appears a bullet has been shot versus a rocketshell.
