Kill Bill: Volume One
Suprised, no one posted it here yet.
Did anyone see it? Your thoughts? I heard it was great, and reminded people of old-school kung-fu movies, with the squirting blood when limbs fall off, and some wire-fighting and what-not. I'm going to see it in about ohhh. . .52 mins. That's of coarse, if there's no "traffic" getting to the "Movie theatre" rolleyes: For some info: -This is the 4th movie directed by Quentin Tarantino. The first four were: Resuvior Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown. IMO, these are some of the greatest movies I've ever seen. -Tarentino was also in these movies, along with Desperado, Natural Born Killers, From Dusk Till Dawn, etc. . . -The movie is called Kill Bill: Volume one, because the actual movie once finished was a little over four hours, and Miramax felt the movie would be too long for a single movie, so Kill Bill: Volume Two is expected for Feb. 2004. -Volume One is sopposed to contain most of the action of the entire movie, while Volume Two is to contain more dialog. -The movie stars Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, Daryl Hannah and Vivica Fox. It's a fighting / drama / comedy film. The premise is that Uma works with a team of crooks, and decides she's had enough with the bad life, and wants to come clean. Once she starts to get her life into hands, she is backstabbed by her former team, and is left for dead. She finds that the man in charge, Bill, is the main culprit for having her killed, hence the title, Kill Bill. -One cool thing (or aggravating for others) is that Uma's bike suit she wears resembles Bruce Lee's fighting outfit from Game of Death. As you can see, I've been looking foward to this film. happy: Here's the trailer links if you haven't seen it. http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/kill_bill/ |
looks so gay...hate the commercials....with the Little schoolgirl with the chain going "hi"
|
this movie is going to rock, i love Quentin Tarantino movies, but Jackie Brown sucked,
i hope i see this movie this weekend |
joe- Im going tonight to see it. Ill let you know, but its a QT film. Plan on laughing at people getting their heads lopped off. quickshot:
|
Im seeing it tonight or tomorrow night. its looks awesome
|
Yea looks pretty cool. Love Tarantino Movies. Pulp Fiction and Resovoir Dogs were great. Liked Pulp Fiction a little better though. This will hopefully be equally as good.
|
It looks ok, I'll probably see it though.
|
worth every penny, nuff said.
|
the words ultra violence and vulgar coem into mind when quentin tarantino gets mentioned. imo his films are not that great. this new film of his looks to be pretty stupid imo. the whole samurai sword, fighting shite guarantees ultra violence. the story sounds quite humorous actually until you find out it's not a comedy. the age of romanticism is over i want soemthing else.
|
Yep Castro is correct.
I saw the 7:20 show and it was great. The blood squirting like a fountain was a little cartoonish for me...but it gets the over the top reaction from the viewers. QT does some good lighting /stage work and the fight sceens rock...UMA is teh superhero. I would prolly give it a 8.0-8.5 beer: |
Quentin Tarantino is awesome rock:
|
btw the tight yellow suit worn by bruce lee represents an absence of style and form. meaning his fighting style changes according to the situation so there is no specific form. now i don't know what it could represent in this movie.

well yeah, it's violent cause its an action film, not romantic. besides in nearly all his movies, he gets killed and im hoping to see it again. they never make ultra violent movies anymore because people are scared of having retarded kids. and who says romanticism is dead, havent you ever seen striptease? the main reason why i want to see it is because of those fine ass asian women and monica bellucci. the_finger: |

ya, me and shawn seen it on friday, he actaully pulled a couple moves on me anyways. before I get started, Uma Thurman was MAD HOT in it, hands down alright. Kill Bill was BY FAR, THE BLOODIEST Movie I've ever seen in the 18 years I've been watching movies. I think Quentin tarentino raises the bar for movie making.. this film was on a whole new level. it was pretty damn original in the sense of how it was made out. and it's not corny how the blood sprays out of the limbs. Thats the Style Quentin wanted it to be.it was like an anime, but it in real life in a way. So much blood shed and limbs... very, very awesome stuff. Cant wait for Vol. Two |

quentin tarantino dies in res dogs. not pulp fiction. and he wasnt in jackie brown I dont think. and hes not in kill bill val one. so how can you say he dies in almost all his movies?
[/quote]besides in nearly all his movies, he gets killed and im hoping to see it again.[quote:3b3b1] so out of 4movies he dies in one. ohh and if you count from dusk till dawn that was a rob rodeguze (or what ever his name )is movie. but he does die in it so thats 2 out 0f 5 not even close to all his movies.[/quote:3b3b1] |
he dies in resevoir dogs and desperado and i think another one. i forgot about the other movies you mentioned. so he died in about 3 of them. i havent seen this latest one, so im thinking if he is making a cameo, he dies.
|
[quote:00825]desperado[/quote:00825]
he was in that? dont remember him in it. |
He died in desperado in the bathroom but that wasnt his movie. Kill Bill was by far the goriest movie ive ever seen and also one of the best ones ive seen in a long time. Every minute of the movie i was entertained and u should have heard the gasp from people in the audience when someone got a limb chopped off or something. It was hilarious. By far this is my favorite Tarantino movie. That anime part was really cool too. Anyone know the artist that did that? The music was of course great as in every other Tarantino flick and i felt a sort of sick satisfaction after seeing the movie. I highly recommend this to anyone that likes good cinematography, music, kung fu, and destruction. And did anyone else think that Vernita Greens daughter was going to explode or doing something insane in that one scene after her mother died or was that just me?

The El Miriachi walks in, and the bad guy shoots him thinking he was with him. He had like a 2 minute scene. Dammit! I still haven't seen Kill Bill! I'll go tomm. Theatres are open Columbus day right? |

Theatres aren't even closed on Christmas day.
Long weekends are where they make their money, right? |
God i watched that movie the other day and i thought this movie SUCKS. I mean dont get me wrong i loved other movies that this director made but this movie sucked hard!
This guy tried to much crap in this movie all at once... Not only that the chick was not even that hot. I am so glad this movie was made in two different volumes because there is no way i was going to sit down and watch this crap for another 2 hours... [/roast] flamethrower: |
