Your Celebrity Encounters..

sup guys, i finally got out of the house this weekend to go visit my sis in Atlanta, Georgia. We (family)went to the Lenox mall (yes L E N O X FOR THE GEEKS) in midtown Atl with my sister's friends. Ok im from birmingham al (duhh <---) and ive never EVER EVER EVA EVA EVA seen a celebrity in my entire life b/c they dont visit bham much and when they do their wherabouts are classified. Anyways, we enter the mall and we see friggin Whiteny Housten & Bobby Brown walking right past us (like 3 ft away) with her 1 bodyguard. I did happen to see a white powedery substance on her nouse though guys. Anyways, atl is awesome and the girls...... the girls are hella gourgous.

Hollywood 10-20-2003 12:33 PM

I've had the pleasure of meeting Dustin Hoffman, Dennis Franz (NYPD Blue), Nicholas Turturro(NYPD Blue), Shawn Hatosy(The Faculty, Outside Providence), Jonathan Brandis, Peter and Bobby Farrelly, Amy Smart(Road Trip, Outside Providence), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Saved by the Bell, Dead Man on Campus), and Paul Rudd (Clueless).

I've also met a couple of comedians, The Amazing Jonathan and Gallagher years back.

They have always been nice in person, and usually surprise you how different they are from the characters they play.

Zoner 10-20-2003 12:45 PM

I sold Rick Mercer ("This Hour Has 22 Minutes") a used copy of "Roots" once when i worked in a bookstore in St. John's.

Ackroyd, dude.

Wilko 10-21-2003 12:17 PM

I've met pretty much every player from the Collingwood AFL side, plus Billy Connolly was at the Cafe I was before i went to see him in concert. That's aboot it, though.

Bazooka_Joe 10-21-2003 12:19 PM

I've seen a few. Being in NYC at the right place at the right time, you can catch alot.

1) I was coming out of A Christmas Story (It may not be the title, the show they put on every year at Radio City Music Hall) and I saw Dan Ackroyd with like 5 kids with him. He was walking fast, with a pissed-off look. I guessed that's how he keeps people from walking up to him and asking for autographs and crap.

2) I used to take the bus to Times Square, and catch the subway there to get to work. Once I was walking to the entrance to the subway, and I saw two big black guys walking around this woman, who had to have been at least 6 feet tall. It was Julia Roberts. She looked hot man, she had her dark red hair going, and was wearing sunglasses, and a bonnet for some reason. eek: Maybe to hide her identity.

3) My friends and I went to Wendy's on Staten Island, and bam, at the counter is WXRK (K-ROCK 92.3FM)'s Crazie Cabby: [url=http://krockradio.com/bios/local_bio_054140926/:311ee]LINK[/url:311ee] He's cool as hell, as I've seen him multiple times at concerts, but he was cool, asking me stuff like what was my favorite concert, fav band and things like that. The best part is, it was only myself and my other friend, then like 8 of my other friends show up and regonize him. He and his financee (He was talking ALOT, heh) came to the table and he goes "Nick, it was a pleasure meeting you, take care kids." He leaves, then everyone stares at me and goes "How the hell did he know your name?" I just hold my hands up and go "God." biggrin:

9mm BeRetTa 10-21-2003 01:10 PM

i was bowling once with Mike Piazza from the mets and also got some autographs from A-rod, Ozzie smith, craig biggio, and a few other guys all at the same place

it was great, some Pepsi sponsored event

Bane 10-21-2003 01:37 PM

I met Terry Nichols. His parents live near my aunt and uncle in Lapeer. The Nichols family came over for my aunt's birthday one year before the bombing.
