Paintball
I was wondering how many of you play paintball. I just got back from Headrush and i havent played in a long time and havent even played it in a park. I used to mess around with my friends with my tippman 98 (yes its ancient). Well i went and played in its friggin awesome, im def getting a new gun but i rly kicked some ass. I played 4v4 with some 13-15 year olds on the oppsite team and it was a slaughter. Im a noob and i smoked them. We bunkered em like crazy and i feel bad for one kid. Me and my friend snuck to the left (Its indoor) behind this huge X and rly tore this kid apart. I mean, i must have shot him 5 times ( he had to have atleast 15 shots on him), he was the last one left and we were really pouring everything we had at him. Well its was awesome...and im sorry but im rly still pumped up.

Man- I played it (tournament team), owned it ( paintball store)and reffed it (NE paintball, where we had monthly games with 200vs200 teams on 25 archers). but that was over 13 years ago when Bushmaster pumps ruled!, none of these fancy semi and full auto's. But then I got married had kids and needed to find a real job LOL. I miss it tremendously.
BTW that is where rudedog comes from. The name of our paintball team back in the late 80's. We where called the rudedogs- woof Does anyone know how paintball the sport came about? If not I will tell you the story |

didnt they start it to mark their cattle? they being rednecks
The PGP paintball guns where used to mark trees that where going to be cut down by logging companies.
Three guys with lots of $$ rented a cabin in NH in the early 80's. They found these guns and paintballs in the cabin. They started fooling around in the woods playing "WAR". Once they returned, they thought - hey we could make some $$ form this. They developed a non-toxic water salable paint ball and the rest is history. The old PGP guns were very reliable but would only hold a single paint tube and used very small 12gram Co2 cartridges. I use to know the names but my "AGE" is starting to get to me. |
the first game ever was capture the flag, and the winner never fired a shot, he just snuck around, got the flag, and won

White Rabbit, when do you play at headrush? its a prty cool place and there adding an outdoor park to it also. Im getting a Tippman A-5 Response /w a flatline barrel. oh yea.
I used to play all the time. Me and my friends from school would get together and have games up to 12+ people. It was really a blast and we will have a few more games before graduation.
I have a Tippmann Pro Carbine, used, oh five times, 20oz tank, crappy mask, various accessories for $115 obo. Somebody email me, please. I'm trying to get rid of my stuff. I never play anymore. Dirtbike instead, its much more interesting, and hurts less too (usually eek: )
I of course play paintball lol its my name lol I have 2 tippmans 98, and a Syder Shutter going to get a autococker 2002 soon. I mostly play speed ball, but i somtimes play in the woods with some buds.
I play woods ball solely. I could never get into speed ball, mostly becaue i hate spending $70 - $100 on good paint. I own a spyder Xtra with a dye 14" boomstick, and an ArmoTech WG65-M4, running on remote to a 4500 psi 68 CI tank. With a 42mm BSA red-dot scope mounted anything within 100 - 150 ft is easily sighted and hit single shot. Havnt played ina while, because of money problems and so forth. Come spring though im gonna kick the living shit out of my friends.
We dont use fields. We get all our gear squared away perhaps stopping at a nearby field to gas up and grab some rounds. Then we drive up the road a long ways and find a spot in the woods. Set a tactical goal and send one team into the woods. Other teams starts a set amount of time later, and we have at it. Some LONG, intense games that were the best of my life. I really cant wait for spring, but until then my hockey will have to keep me occupied. I want to get into airsoft since the up a running cost is lower than paintball. IE BB's are $10 where as paint is $70 - 100 depending on type. Plus air refills, where as an AEG airsoft requires a rechargable battery. Some pics. Nah, I think paintball is better because it's more realistic, the stakes are higher. It hurts a lot more to get hit by a paintball then a plastic BB. Right now, I have a Spyder Classic that works just fine. The whole setup only cost me $60 but I bought a seperate mask for like $30-$40 (JT nVader) which works really well and doesn't fog up at all. Sometimes it does get really expensive though, I agree with that, that's why I've only been like 6 times.

Play all the time. Every 2 weeks try to play. Neighbor has paintball store and I have the course at my house. We have a team that is Novice status.
Is a stock model 98 any good still? I bought it 5 yrs ago and have only used it a few times. My friend is on a sponsered team so he gets major discounts and i can get my a-5 rly cheap.
Vger, a model 98 is a good gun. It's cheap and accurate. There is no point in going out and blowing $500+ on a good gun for what I do. I just play in my backyard with a bunch of friends. We have nearly 5+ acres of dense woodland with rocks, dead logs, etc... plus we made a base out of logs, sandbags and hay-bails. I only have a Rhino Spitfire and I kick ass with it.. it was only $100 too.
Its Ranger...lol, and i have 90 acres to play on heh. My model 98 is a good gun i know, but the tippman a-5 is awesome with a response trigger in it, and a flatline barrel. Plus my friend is on a sponsered team and i can get it real cheap.....plus my mom will pay for some of it, i will, and my dad will pa y for half. Should i still go for it or get some accessories for the model 98, like a flatline barrel? a remote adapter? etc. let me know if i should

exactly what I have always said Also, I don't think you really need a flatline system, they seem cool at first but I hear they really aren't all they claim to be... |
4 years into the game here.
Bah who gives a sheet about paintball when you can shoot an actual gun at animals in your backyard..

Yeah then you wake up and have your breakfast little blitzy..... eek: |
I haven't gone in awhile. I should, seeing I have 10 free passes.
I play all the time. I'm on a team.
When I play with my Spyder Electra the ppl there check on velocity and if its a semi. Well in the field i turn the velocity to the top and click the button witch changes the gun into a fully automatic. When i get cought i just say i pull the trigger fast thats all. and heres a question how you can put the flatline system on a tippmann a-5 its not going to work.
its very possible, i just saw it in a paintball magazine
