Best Horror Movie?
Just wondering what you guys think is the best or scariest horror movie out there...
|
Scary movie 2
|
Ever ?
-Exorcist. -Jason 5/The one where the kid is grown up in the mental institute i think. -28 Days Later. |
The latest TCM
The Blair Witch Project, i know it was kinda stupid but my hearth was racing. |
christine
|
final destination 2
|
I haven't watched that many horror movies but I always thought Stephen Kings "It" was scary. It was simple, yet it made me nearly cry for my Mother when I first watched it when I was young. It's only a clown... but that "smile" and laugh still makes my hair on the back of my neck rise.
|
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (old one) mad:
|
blaire witch project
*waits for flames* |

The recent TCM
and I thought blair witch project was freaky too. and the house on haunted hill was alright, gay ending though also 28 days later |

gigli
buy seriously, a movie that really scared me was...shit i forgot what i was called anyway it was the one with the ghost girl who had a white mask on and took the kids last tooth and would scratch you to death if you saw her. i know, it was really stupid and made me laugh only at the ending, cause they ruined it when they show you her face. but the beginning where you hear that noise, and the shadow, and you see her mask for like a split second, that freaked me out. i couldnt sleep for like a week another one was signs, but again they ruined it when they showed you the alien, i have a fear for aliens, dont ask me why. just the little green men, not the big freaky ones with tentacles and 7 eyes and shit mothman prophecis was also pretty freaky, cause it was like true, and the night i saw it, i listened to a radio station at like 12 that told about real monster sightings and ghosts and aliens and shit. and they were talking about the mothman, and people who saw it, and they said it was like a giant bird, or something anyway i know ive seen scarier ones, but that all i can think of i think that first one i said would've been scarier at the end, but i was elbow deep in my girlfriend biggrin: |
Anyone seen Marathon Man?
classic movie made some people never want to see a dentists again.. Christian Szell: Is it safe? [img]http://www.movieclub.com/news/02evans/man.jpg[/img] |

i think the new tcm or house of a 1000 corpses that was one fucked up movie
|
darkness falls! that was it
shit i didnt sleep a wink tonight |
Sphere wasn't really horror, but more of a Sci-Fi thriller. It really creeped you out, because it deals with man's fear of the unknown. And it shows how primitive our minds really are.

children of the corn...
eek: my nephew looks just like that kid, uh oh. |
Pet Semetary and The shining.
|
The Excorcist.
|
Any movie that uses children as freaky demon-spawn. Kids can be the scariest SOB's in movies. The first that scared me was the little kid in Pet Cemetary... the one that got creamed by the semi then came back from the dead. Creeps me out...

I'll break mine down by genre...heh:
Slasher: Freddy vs Jason Friday the 13th Pt 6: Jason Lives Halloween The Last House on the Left Supernatural: A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors The Exorcist The Ring Prince of Darkness Real Life Creepiness/Based on a True Story: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (loosely based on Ed Gein) The Silence of the Lambs (again...Ed Gein) Old School: Psycho The Horror of Dracula Night of the Living Dead (Original) I know I'm missin' some that I'll kick my own ass for omitting, but whattaya gonna do? |
Ya, Silence of the Lambs was alright, more sickning than scary, made me feel uneasy.
|
the omen
|
go find The Asphyx. scariest film ive ever seen.
Black Friday with Vincent Price owned. im a Hammer Films junkie...Christopher Lee and Pete Cushing pwn all... American Werewolf was good stuff (scenes talking to mangled zombies was just to surreal and really ahead of its time in an artsy sort of way) Original Hellraiser was a treat. Alien-not many movies give you the goose bumps...less is more kiddies...less is more First Nightmare on Elm was great. Reanimator and Bride were really out there. Same goes wtih Evil Dead 1 and 2...Dead/Alive anyone |
Dead/Alive = goriest film ever. Outrageous/unrealistic gore, but gore nonetheless.
Man, it's been a while since I've seen that one. |
