What was the AA Revolution?

Did the revolution have anything to do with the "I want my usename back" thread?

What does HAXXORZZZZ!!!!11 mean?

What does xxx!!!111!! mean, (the 11!! thing?)

Do people just forget to hold down the space key when entering !!, or something else?

Any other n00b stuff I might not know too.

In answer to your question, I meant to type "shift key" but it came out differently. Looks quite odd I imagine. Oh well.

I was guessing that 11 was just 11. I am not at all skilled at code, so i had nothing to go by.

the aa.com revolution was at 3/9/03 when one of our beloved members "strik0r" was somehow deleted. rumors went around that bazooka joe deleted strik0r because they have always argued and joe was on his typical locking sprees that night. anyway all the IRC chatroom regulars were pissed off and 8-10 of us spammed the forum until it crashed (which that isnt hard to do) after that bazooka joe locked all complaint threads and hoped the subject would go away, but his nazi reign would come to an end soon after, when another member "antihero" somehow got admin privs and kicked out the old regime and put in a group of more fitting mods. perhaps after that bazooka joe went crying to badscript about what happend and badscript banned many many people. thats where the user name thread came from.
oh and the "!!!!!!!!!11111" just makes everything 1337 rock:

I have not been on the boards for too long, and just wanted to know some history, as to be at par with some of the higher ups.

I also know how Antihero got admin priviledges.

Gerard was never an admin until Anti Hero made him one by my recolection. He has had admin priviledges for a long time before Gerard was even made mod.

Well techically Antihero made everyone who was admin not admin. So he did have to give Gerard admin powers at one time. But Gerard never gave Anti admin powers.

I saw your thread and i know that you probably didnt get an answer. Me and a few others are really the only "vets" left- -as you can see by my 1969 register date. The aa.com revolution was when we all overthrew bazooka joe because he locked everything, except for what a few posted. Alot of people spammed and crashed the boards. The owner of the website hadnt updated or be seen on three years. So badscript came back and there were no mods, and peopple posted gay porn and stuff.So then there were the 'dark ages' . Many people migrated to http://www.general-games.net and http://www.movv.com the gg.net one was more successfull. So then mods came back and now its not the same as it was.
