Where to get a custom PC

I've been looking into buying a new PC. I'm wondering if any of you have some suggestions for some good sites that sell custom PCs for a good price. I've used google and checked around different sites, but i want to know which one is the best. I don't want to spend a ton of cash on some Alienware or Falcon Northwest etc. Any recomendations? Thanks

My best recommandation is to build your own. It is really easy to do and costs a lot less then buying one from somewhere. Use http://www.newegg.com to buy all your parts.

if your canadian you will sadly have half of the above resources slashed (no shipping to canada :( }. SO I reccomend you scronge around pccanada.com and factorydirect.ca for parts to build your own or at least get some one to put it otgether for you when you get all the parts assembled.

If your near to Kansas City there is a place in Overland Park KS, about 77th & Metcalf. They can build you a super machine.

If you are looking for a bargin at 93rd and Metcalf is a MicroCenter, get a Power Spec 4985 and another stick of RAM ($500). Pick a video card and a monitor.

thanks!

Thanks for the replies guys. I considered buying all the parts and doing it myself, but honestly I'm not too confident in my skills in that area. I've put in memory and my graphic and sound cards, but that's about as far as I've gone in the hardware department. It would be cool to try it though. Not being an egghead I'd probably fuck it up! Probably try it out if there are some tutorials and such around.

P.S. JohnJ I am FAR from K.C. I'm from the northeastern corner of MO, but thanks for the tip anyway.

I've been in the process of building a website on how to build your own computers. I've got 3 or 4 videos up as we speak. (not yet on a site though) So... if you do decided to take the route of building your own PC, just PM me and ill help walk you through all the steps that may seem intimidating. its actually REALLY easy.
