O Canada, we stand on gaurd for thee...That sucks, do what americans did in Veitnam, run to Canada.

pest 11-04-2003 08:56 AM

Did I mention I am beyond the draft age? Muwahahahah

This kiddies is why you should vote.

White Rabbit 11-04-2003 09:28 AM

/me wonders if milla is going to iraq

RaNgeR 11-04-2003 10:41 AM

I just have one question. How many guys are over there now? We dont need anymore, but if they draft (Which they won't), it rly blows for me.

Zoner 11-04-2003 10:46 AM

/me high-fives Art

XanatosBMAGE 11-04-2003 11:00 AM

I'm 16, I'm not going to say I like it, but I'm not anit-draft, if it is necessary. I want to go to West Point and join the military anyway.

imported_Fluffy_Bunny 11-04-2003 11:28 AM

They can kiss my furry, pink bunny butt.

I'm from the U.K. but we are out there too soooo oOo: I have a good chance of being called up because I'm a reservist.

Rannoch 11-04-2003 11:45 AM

I'm 17. Greaaaat.

I'll go if I have to.

intrestedviewer 11-04-2003 12:10 PM

Bush would get shot before a draft would start. Besides we got that new president coming soon, whats his name, mumble joe...the NATO guy.

11-04-2003 12:34 PM

meh, I can't take the antrhax and smallpox shots anyway, deadly allergy to that kind of stuff.
If I could I would probably be flying Harriers for the USMC

Madmartagen 11-04-2003 02:35 PM

woohoo! im 23, i think im too old. i remember when i was 18 i worried about that shit too, but i would have gone if i got called. i dont think there will be a draft, we have too many regulars and reserves in service dont we?

ninty 11-04-2003 02:37 PM

23 is too old? Thats like the perfect age, no?

You can't go overseas unless your 18, so 18-30 year olds are the perfect choice.

Madmartagen 11-04-2003 02:40 PM

i think they grab the youngest ones first, plus im in college. i dont know how it works nowadays, they havent used the draft since the vietnam war. i would think they would revise the qualifications this time. maybe i am in the preferred range. either way, you have to strap on some extra balls and do your duty.

Madmartagen 11-04-2003 02:44 PM

i dont think the iraq war should qualify for a draft anyways, maybe if we fought the entire mideast. stupid:

ninty 11-04-2003 02:53 PM

How many US troops are in Iraq? 180,000 maybe? I don't think you'll need a draft. Perhaps for homeland protection while all reservists go to Iraq, but I highly doubt any draftee would see action overseas.

Madmartagen 11-04-2003 02:58 PM

homeland security eh? that sounds good to me, maybe theyll post me in maui, malibu or hopefully OKINAWA, BABY!! plz plz plz beer:

ninty 11-04-2003 03:00 PM

I'm just speculating. I don't live in your country so I have no idea. I hope you guys don't have to draft. I think that would be a shame. If pres Bush had to do that he'd be in way over his head, and never get re elected.

Bazooka_Joe 11-04-2003 03:34 PM

I said months before the war with Iraq (and Im sure its posted somewhere here) that if we were to goto war with Iraq, and South Korea, no doubt the draft would be put back in effect.

If things remain the way they are now, I can see the draft coming into effect somewhere along the line of 4 to 6 months.

Madmartagen 11-04-2003 03:52 PM

we have troops in afghanistan and iraq so far, but if we go into korea, i still dont see us using a draft because i dont think we would be occupying them like we are in iraq. but i dont know, where else are we looking at? iran, syria. if we start spreading all over the place, then yeah, we'll be putting on uniforms pretty soon. i would guess in the next two years.

200 posts woohoo beer:

Why can't you take vaccines?

They inject the dead virus into your system, so you build up a mini army of cells to fight it, that float through your bloodstream until they have a real virus to fight.

Our Army alone is over 500,000.And that isn't including the Navy, Marines, and Air Force. I seriously doubt we'll have another draft.

Merlin122 11-04-2003 05:08 PM

o shit im 15.... if bush is in power when im 18 or when the draft comes back i hope i become a remington raider (typeist).

The guy is a douche bag

Thats exactly my point. Thats why I said there probably wouldn't be a draft. rolleyes:

Vance 11-04-2003 05:38 PM

I wasn't disagreeing with you. What's up, ninty? Jeez...

ninty 11-04-2003 06:14 PM

Nothing's up. You bolded "seriously" and quoted me, so I thought you were disagreeing. Sorry.

imported_Fluffy_Bunny 11-04-2003 06:16 PM

I'm not sure what I would do if my country drafted me into Iraq, don't you guys feel any sense of duty or honour? I thought Americans were patriotic. eek:

I know theres a difference between being patriotic and serving your country but the two generally go together.

Vance 11-04-2003 06:28 PM

And I thought all British drank tea 5 times a day.

imported_Fluffy_Bunny 11-04-2003 06:32 PM

[quote:1bb5c]And I thought all British drank tea 5 times a day. [/quote:1bb5c]

We do.

Last time I went to USA there was a flag outside almost every house.

Vance 11-04-2003 06:35 PM

So we like our country? It doesn't mean we're ALL patriotic and willing to die for our country or anything...

Sergeant_Scrotum 11-04-2003 06:35 PM

[quote:26c17]And we can all say tha twere protecting canada too. B/c if america gets hurt bad you cna bet your ass canada will feel the effect.[/quote:26c17] iraq had no beef with canada & they have yet to find any weapons that could harm iraq's neibors let alone north america.

[quote:26c17]Plus Id like to go to school and start a god life[/quote:26c17] so you want to be a god eh? biggrin:
