I find we discover the most about each other in the Off-Topic area , Our personality types , our likes and dislikes.

Music is often a mood lifter and puts us at ease. Music is a large part of most peoples lives , whether we listen in the car , at home , or at work.

Im interested to see what music we prefer.

As for myself , I listen to a varity of music , mostly dependent on what mood Im in. But no matter the mood Jazz always puts a smile on my face.

Rap and Rock

That is too say good rap and good rock. Almsot no mainstream crap.

Jazz-Rap, Old School Rap, True School Hiphop, Turntablism, Conscious Rap, French Rap, Party Hiphop, Bass Assault Hiphop, 2-Step, Speed Garage, Drum N Bass, Garage, Trip Hop, Acid Jazz, Jazz, House.

Mostly modern music - Stuff that has only been coined in the last 20-30 years.

I listen to pretty much anything, it's all good, but I mostly listen to Hip hop/Rap or Rock.

Nope. Reasonable Doubt is a classic album though. Everything after is shit.

The fact that he turned down a beat from DJ Premier just secures my dislike for him as an artist.

Beth is the ultimate example of a true woman artist.

Yeah, although it's bullshit. He even said himself he's just taking a break and he'll continue to release tracks with other artists later on.

It's supposedly just a retirement from releasing albums - But even that doesn't sound like it will happen to me.

Classical, Jazz(older the better), New Age, Blues, Bluegrass, Bigband, Rock (almost all catagories), early Motown, Reggae..............

I listen to everything INCLUDING country.

Ever varying moods and daily psychological/physiological differences mean
I listen to everything... except country and opera (99% of). I'm very flexible
when it comes to music but I always return to classical (baroque, modern &
romanticism), jazz and rap.

Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Saves the Day, Bright Eyes, Flogging Molly, White Stripes, Modest Mouse

On the rap side of things I basically i only listen to DMX

metal, hardcore, "rock", some punk

all else is junk

progressive, fusion, speed/thrash metal, swedish melodic death metal, classic rock, jazz, some classical

and i could put up with some punk and techno, i'll listen to it and enjoy it if i have to...and hell, even some rap when its appropriate, but none of this new rap stuff....old rap...

Hard Rock. None of that punk crap, all the punk bands I hear today sound the same, "Don't listen to your parents!!! Call cops pigs!!!" (high pitched voice)

I only listen to Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley (more then any other), Led Zeppelin, and Metallica (anything pre-black album). Occasionally I'll listen to my old Children of Bodom collection when I'm in the mood, or my friend's metal band.
