Does anyone Prefer MOH:AA to CoD?
 

If so, why?

I'll throw myself to the lions first and say that I prefer MOHAA, quite simply because i enjoy playing it more than CoD. I still prefer the Multiplayer at LANs, and even the SP still goes alright from time to time.

Is anyone in agreeance, or am I a lone wolf?

i love CoD single, but multiplayer feels too much like RtCW to me. sorry, ill stick with MOH.

I really enjoyed CoD single player and am still getting used to MP. I find the MP game frustrating as it is now, but I'm sure with some mods and patches, it'll become my fave game.

MoH will always have a soft spot with me...as buggy as it is, I still love it.

I loved MOHAA when it came out,
I also love Americas Army,
so naturally my fave would be CoD which is almost like a MOHAA/AAO love child: iron sights, larger maps, WWII setting, realistic-enough-but-not-too-realistic gameplay, etc.

yah CoD is pretty much perfect. once they change the spawnpoints for TDM, that game will be perfect. i hate how all those fags from rvs complain about snipers.. *sighs* thank god they dont have shotguns, or those would be banned instantly.

its a nice change from the nazis having all the firepower like in MOHAA (especially realism mods). Its good to see my side win for once biggrin:

The MP44 in CoD is much more tolerable than the staccato-sounding MoH version. I love the semi-auto feature too...

the nazis need to be able to select the fg42 as one of their default weapons...i know theres mods that allow u to do that...but no servers have it installed......

The BH (Black Hats) server has them at spawn points for both axis and allies. One Fg 42 per side. They also run a CKR mod, which makes me and my bolt action very happy. If anyone really wants I can dig up the IP.

You end up dieing 5 times just t trying to get to the building.

thats no good, being able to select it as a default waepon is awesome...i have the server side mod that does that installed on my comp and whenever i wanna play with it like that i host a server off my comp and play with friends.

German had something like 1 FG-42 per 200 troops,
75% of axis and 25% of allies (death pickup) runing around with them are bound to ruin everything.

I like COD it has alot of potential and right now I play both ( been playing mohaa for 2 years now). My only complaint with COD is the gameplay is a little too fast and unrealistic and granade throwing is too quick and too far. I cant control the distance too well ( try lobbing one). Weapon balance is very good. I hope they can fix this with a patch. If I remember SH had to be slowed down when it first came out. I hope that this community can pick up discussion on COD as its by far the best forum for this type of gameplay in the world. I don't have many posts but been on the site reading for along time. COD.... Also anyone play on rifle only servers? I sometimes get tired of playing palvov's house with all the moronic ppsh idiots running around spraying there 71 rounds of death, so i found a rifle only server and its great. Realistc mod is on, so its one hit kill if you hit them in upper chest, one clip of pistol only, and 1 grenade and throwing distance is shortened by 25%

Try playing MoH day in, day out since the day the SP demo came out. It got boring after about a year of playing. I need a change of pace without change genres.

i was playing moh day in day out before spearhead was ever conceived... before its mother ever had sex with its father. but i know what you mean... it is a bit boring... i almost uninstalled it at the beginning of summer, but decided not too. i'll try CoD when i decide to stop being a poor college kid.

Look at it this way, we have all been looking for better support for this type of game, EA was poor, I am hearing Activision is going to really support COD, So if we move to this game and speak loud and clear as this forum does maybe we can get the game we all been dieing for. I saw this morning the server numbers are down for moh and gaining alot for COD. Lets just try it. KILROY...OUT

Moh:aa..... oOo: People need to move on, that games been hacked and glitched to death. Nothing better than the usual routine of being sniped by someone whos round a corner, oddly enough theres about a milimetre of them visible, their guns not round the corner but hey ITS MAGIC... oOo:

Clipping is just as bad in cod as it is in spearhead...

plus, all the characters look like a bunch of midgets with down syndrome running around.

its already hacked to death, thats just part of using the quake 3 engine.

Some of the maps are bigger then many moh maps, but graphics wise there isn't a huge improvement (though the frame rates are much better, I think they dumbed down the graphics to increase frame rates) over moh

I bought it the other day at best buy cause it was 30 bucks, I think i'll sell it on ebay for 50 and wait stick with moh till pacific assault comes out
