harddrive
Is your hard drive almost full? when your computer runs out of memory, it uses free hard drive space as memory.
Maybe you have somethings that is biogradishnopeical or interfears with the radie tecnic waves. i dont know
What are your computer specs. Include the video card specs and the size of your power supply.
i have a radeon 9000 pro 128mb and the powersupply =585 avr
well this problem has been going on for a couple of months and when i got my computer reformated it still did it with one game on it that doesnt take that much space at all
What kind of processer do you have? Also what and how much RAM memory?
i have pentium 4 with a half or more gb of ram
Is the power supply the surge protector?
No the power supply is the part that plugs into the electrical outlet. Power supplys are rated in watts. You could have a 250W power supply or a 450W power supply or somewhere inbetween (i hope) You would find the spec with the computers case info.
cant i juss right click my computer and go to properties?
No The power supply is where the electric power plugs into your computer. If your power supply is to small it can overheat and cause problems like you describe. I had a 250W supply in my other computer and it kept locking up. I changed it to a 450W supply and no more lock ups. OK.
how do i determine if its hot or not? and how can i tell which powersupply i have?
First remove one of the side panels. It should look like[url=http://www.cflsurf.com/images/computer/my-wincase-inside.jpg:32e2e]this.[/url:32e2e]
The part in the upper left hand corner is the power supply and should have a tag on it with the specs. Now with the cover off try playing the game. Any change? |
my problem was that is was overheating.... but it still does decide to restart occasionally now i have a fan! ed:
most annoying when i'm in the middle of doing college work as auto recover only recovers half teh damn work! oOo: |
If you have a small power supply (200W to 300W) It may be working too hard to supply al the power your computer needs. Upgrading to a 450W lets the suply work less, creating less heat.
DUDE TY MAN!!!! it greatly reduced it but it still ther i have a 250W. So do u recomend higher? rock: happy:
I recomend a 450W power supply. You should be able to get one at any computer parts store like Micro Center or the local Mom & Pop repair shop.
Do u noe how much it would be to pay for installment?
No i don't know how much installation will be. If you can remove the side panel you should be able to replace the power supply. Take your time and make note of where everything is plugged in.
k ty so much beer: cool:
do u recomend me playing with the box open until i get my new power supply?
