The Sabers were in trouble a couple years ago. Normally when that happens to a team the league takes over and loks for an owner. Its not very wise for teh league to ahng onto a team, so they would have found an owner as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure they ahev a new owner, although I couldn't tell you who it is.

yeah it would be good for detroit and tronto. Would it draw viewers? I dount it. The NHL is in real trouble. People in the states don't go to the games and all canadian teams except for toronto and vancouver are cash strapped. People have been able to see the wings pretty much every year in the finals. People in the states would care much more about a detroit toronto final more than detroit carolina or new jersey anaheim. Ontarians would watch the game and detroit would watch te game. Thats it.

The heritage classic wasn't even shown on TV in the states. Peobably the biggest game in the nhl this year.

the nhl is fucked. and they should get rid of Gary Bettman while their at it.
