Monty Python?

What Monty Python related things have you seen? like movies, TV shows, or books?

ninty 12-08-2003 09:02 PM

I have quest for the holy grail on DVD and i've seen skits on TV.

Merlin122 12-08-2003 09:03 PM

i have all the movies and for christmas this year im getting the complete collection of all the flying circus episodes. biggrin:

9mm BeRetTa 12-08-2003 09:11 PM

Wow, im sorry man but i think Monty Python is terrible. In my opinion the comedy is not funny at all.

I seem to be the only one who thinks this all the time, but i stick to my thoughts as i saw the Holy Grail one.

bukdez 12-08-2003 09:23 PM

i've seen all the movies, most of flying circus etc.. there are some good books, and a cd, i think called "the final cut", my dad has the Holy Grail soundtrack on LP(vinyl), its really funny..

Unknown_Sniper 12-08-2003 09:29 PM

meh its alright. Holy Grail is probably the best they did.

Slaggg 12-08-2003 10:40 PM

I beg to differ. Life of Brian was fucking hilarious.

Madmartagen 12-09-2003 12:18 AM

i have the holy grail movie and ive seen some flying circus and i didnt think it was very funny either. it was funny, but not rofl funny.

Wilko 12-09-2003 06:11 AM

I've seen all the movies, and i would be surprised to find an episode i hadn't seen. Holy Grail was my favorite Movie, the episode with Mr. Pither's cycling tour of North Cornwall was my fav sketch, and you can't go past the 'Contractual Obligation' album. Classic. rock:

Not a day passes by without me and my friends taking a few hours to talk about Monty Python.. oOo:
Me personal favorite must be Life of Brian..

*John Cleese* "Who threw that!?"
*Womens voices* "She, She..."
*Deep voices* "Hrm. Him, Him.."

Damn! It's really funny. If you get the chance, get it, it's a ripper. It's on one of the episode tapes, methinks.

The very same.

Zoner 12-09-2003 09:08 AM

I've seen all the movies a dozen times or more, own "...The Holy Grail" and "The Life of Brian", and have seen most of the TV series.

Classics.

bukdez 12-09-2003 11:59 AM

i've always thought the Monty Pythons Meaning of Life is awesome, when i as in grades 6-8 a bunce of us used to watch that one all the time, we would laugh are arses off, and do impressions of the fat guy, and death...oh man that was great....

Rannoch 12-09-2003 12:16 PM

I've only seen the Holy Grail, and only about 4 parts in the whole damn movie are funny. It's a waste of time :)

Sgt>Stackem 12-09-2003 01:36 PM

flying circus was awesome, while all the other kids were watching the stooges I was watching Monty Python. (my wife just doesnt get it)

ShagNasty 12-09-2003 05:48 PM

I saw them on a special last year and they said they were going to make a new movie. but have not heard any thing since.

mr.miyagi 12-09-2003 06:17 PM

Monty Python is pure comic genius although its more sophisticated and ultra sarcastic than say hmmm........all american comedies.

I recommend if possible to watch: 'FATHER TED'

Probably the closest anyones come to the python stuff and you cannot help but laugh your tits off at it.
Basically its about 3 priests and a housekeeper who live in a big house on a remote irish island called 'Craggy island', in the middle of nowhere.
Ted, the main mostly sensible one always trys to keep Dougal (the stupid one) and Jack (the old dirty alcoholic one) under control.
Its the muts nuts. rock:

Wilko 12-09-2003 07:08 PM

RIP Dermott Morgan. Father Ted is one of the all-time classics.

Father Dougal : Ted, do you believe in an afterlife?
Father Ted : Well, generally Dougal, men in our profession have a fairly strong feeling about the afterlife.
FD : Ah Ted, I wish i had your faith.
FT : How exactly did you enter the priesthood, Dougal? Was it "Collect 12 Crisp Packets and become a Priest"?
