HL2. Your Expectatations ?
 

I just watched this video and now it seems that this game is going to exceed my expectations. I think it has Doom 3 Beat. just watch the vid.

Battlegrounds was am od for halfl ife which is based in the American Revolutions. Muskets and all. It was a great mod though it never got to popular. oOo:

I learned not to expect much anymore.

I was badly dissapointed by MOHAAs expansions,
the new Battlestar Galactica miniseries is shiesse,
don't remember any good movies lately,
the entertainment industry has been slacking lately all over the place.

Brilliant.

That was amazing. When he put the table infront of the door, and when he knocked the monitor off the table I was grining from ear to ear.

THOSE WERE ALL SCRIPTED EVENTS, contrary to what they had to say at E3.
How do I know ? Let's just say the guy who leaked the Alpha knew what he

What's the difference between HL2 and CS:CZ ? CZ has nothing to do with
HL2 in any way: in fact, it uses the HL1 engine.

that game looks great. the best part was the total interaction and smarter AI. blocking the door, sending out your alien minions, and crushing badguys with garbage bins were the best. maybe there will be a WW2 mod too...

i still think single player wise, doom3 wins... but who plays single player and we all know which game is best for mp

well, i never played the first one, nor CS...so i will take a pass on this one.

By the time I got around to actually playing HL it had been severely dated. It sucked IMO. I've never played CS. Forget the original... HL2 looks outstanding and I'll be buying it as soon as I can get my hands on it.

Hl2 will should be pretty good, but with the delay, its not quite as groundbreaking. The physics engine will have been used on several games at least. Still should be a solid game with lots of mp possiblities.

Doom 3 will not dissappoint either. The latest screeshots are the best character models, details and lighting I have ever seen, but its a single player game. MP is limited to 4 players?

Quite a while back i played a HL mod called "Knights and Vikings" or something..
I really hope they make one of those for HL2 aswell..
Long time since i felt that joy, running around with longbow and sword, crushing all resistance..

My expectations of HL2? I fully expect it to not run on my computer.

Well, it might run, but it's gonna look fugly on my 64MB vid card. Same expectations for Doom3. annoy:

doom3 has a plot, although i think they stole it fresh out of hl. seriously though... scientists on mars or something making new discoveries... something goes worong... everyone turns into zombi creepy monster things.

i expect a good story, and to be too scared to play a game with zombies, aliens, or ghouls. ed:

Doom 3 has way betterl ighting effects, but the physics on HL2 and graphics in a lot of scenes in the trailers looks a lot better for some reason.
