Too bad the Leafs are in first place in December, and the playoffs are about 5 months away.

Yeah, watching at least one death a night in professional hockey (and any other physical sport for that matter, such was the case football) would be entertaining. Oh well, at least they would die knowing that they are "real men" because they don't wear pads.

Give me a fucking break. Hockey is a physical sport that requires natural toughness. Whether or not that consitutes a real man is not for me to say, but you cannot say that professional athletes that wear pads in physical sports do not require toughness, whether it be mental, physical, or both.
