I do not believe that they are NVBs, Snopes.com has a better explanation, simply he put them to his face and forgot about the lenses then pulled them away (but some guy with a camera snapped the shot), there is a pic of Clinton doing the same thing. Honestly, how many of you forgot to take the caps off a set of field glasses once? I'll bet that when you made the mistake there wasn't a journalist there to make you look like a retard though.
