Dumb Luck or Not?
 

On my way into to work today I get pulled over by the OPP (I'm sure you can think of some of the many euphemism for Ontario Provincial Police) doing 140 KPH in a 100 KPH (90 mph in a 60 for you Yanks).

Officer - License, Registration, Insurance

Me - Sure Officer

Officer - Do you know how fast you were going

Me - 140 Officer

Officer - Didn't see me get on at James Snow Parkway eh.

Me - No Officer didn't see you until you were in the left lane about a klick behind me.

Officer - Why were you driving so fast

Me - Have to get to Tim Hortons by 2:35 PM or I will be late for work

Officer - LOL

Officer - When was your last ticket

Me - 96 or 97 It was June, Sunday around 7:30 pm I got tagged for 70 in a 60 (speed trap at the end of the month)

Officer - LOL

Officer - 140 is to fast slow it down some

Me - Yes Officer

Officer - Okay I'm letting you off with a warning just slow down.

Me - Thanks Officer

The only speeding ticket I ever had was the result of month end speed trap although I've been pulled over about 7-10 time since 1995 for speeding I just never seem to get a ticket while others I know just get hammered the first time they get pulled over.

Oh 140 in a 100 is about $400.00 and 4 points not to mention what in does to your insurance.

hmm some one give a sobriety test to the cop. he might be drunk. beer: man you got lucky.

lol ive never been pulled over in my 2 years of beign on the road. dont want to. ive had some scarry expierences though.

lucky! some cops can be real assholes! many are nice people though & dont act as though their gods gift

Usually the OPP is really gay. The peel police in my area are super gay as wel.

I got busted doing 74 in a 60kph zone. That was $100.

My uncle got a$4,000 dollar fine for speeding, and some other shit, the officer was like, "Hey, since you never been pulled over, this'll be a warning, but next time, I'm takin' no shit!"

The reason you weren't ticketed was because you didn't act like a jackass. You guys seem to forget that you write your own tickets. Act like an ass and you get written up. Show a lil' respect, joke a lil', and show that you have your shit together, you drive away with a verbal warning. It's that simple.

You got lucky that time.

and man you were not speeding Ill link ya up wait a second. ok this video is INSANE first of all. the guy does a wheely for liek 1/4 of a mile at over 100mph top speed around 220mph. imagine if he got caught by a cop lol. if they ever caught up what would he say? I um...was on fire officer.

I've been pulled over by the OPP on the Ottawa river, we were fishing and we were catching and release but the cop was a asshole so we turned the boat on and drove down the river to the quebec side, hehe.

That bike is in KPH not MPH.

If the officer was like a drill seargent in basic training, I'd say he got laid the night before, and was in a good mood. Either way, you're real lucky.

Or you can simply never get caught like i do. I mean honestly in the 5 years i've been driving i have hit speeds of 132 mph in a 70, 90 in a 40 , and have generally driven so that at this point no one will ride with me. Im safe, I've never been in an accident, which is more than most people can say. I've been radared at 100 in a 70 (they pulled over the guy i was passing because he was in the passing lane, we both had white cars)

The bikes name is hyabusa. A Japanese bird that dives on prey at 200+ mph. It is the worlds fastest bike, and will forever remain so. The companies have stopped there "super speed" production compatition for the fear that bikes that were to fast, and to powerful were getting in the hands of the inexperianced.

Side note. A modified version of this bike currently holds the world speed record on a production bike at over 240 mph. That was on the salt flats. The rider said the course couldnt handle the bike and he dare not push harder.

That bike is a demo bike only. It was made to display the viper engine. Rich people started saying they wanted them so dodge made 9 more. They were delivered as "non-functional" models. IE they didnt run for one reason or another, likly they didnt put chains on. Its still a damn nice bike.

Oddly the article says they'll be driveable but not legally. And what the whole production bit is i havnt heard shit about.
