Requiem for a Dream and Battle Royale
 

Requiem for Dream and Battle Royale....two great movies my friend just sent me....i know there is already a topic for Requiem, but im too lazy to search for it. i thought both movies were excellent....BR was extremely gory and alittle disturbing at times, and the plot is very hard to understamd at first. why would people put 40 something teenagers on an island to kill each other? its so disgusting...too bad its in subtitles...

requiem was AMAZING but extremely depressing, maybe it was the music, which i thought was well done. the acting was amazing and the story is in depth...i recommend both of these movies to any movie fan, lets hear some other opinions...

I felt sick after watching Requiem for a Dream. The sad thing is, the lady ended up the worst of all and she just wanted to lose weight.

you heard wrong....these movies are incredibly depressing and are serious movies, no "Half Baked" crap.

you can do what you want, i dont care, watch it stoned, but watch it again when you arent, and tell me what ya think, the movie is very well made.

and AM, my girlfriend wanted to rent that....it didnt catch my interest from the cover...but i shouldnt judge a movie by its cover, so i'll check it out.

I've heard of both of those films, but I doubt i'd ever watch them.

Requiem for a dream owns.

Darren Aronofsky is an excellent director. If you liked Requiem, watch Pi. Other goodies are A Clockwork Orange & Donnie Darko.

Kronos Quartet do an amazing job of guiding the movies feel through music.

Pi was great for its $60,000 budget.

the black and white suited it so well, and even if they could have afforded all the technology in the world, this film would still have been better black and white. It just gives the film that feeling.

I need to see PI and donnie darko is like my favorite movie sine ive seen it. its awsome.
