The effect comes from the methods of polarization, or the concepts of polarized glasses. With regular glasses, the shade is set horizontally, in order to block out vertical sun rays. With polarized glasses, the shade is set vertically, in order to block out horizontal rays (why it works for driving, the rays bounce off the hood of the car and enter your eyes horizontally). With 3d glasses, the shade is set vertically on one lens and horizontally on the other. |
