If you could go back in time and change...

If you could go back in time and change 5 things you've done, or 5 attributes what would they be?

Well here are mine

1.My number one thing i wish I could have changed was I wish I would have been a lot more respectful to my parents. A lot of people dont realize how much your parents do for you until you are mid 30's and have rug rats of your own. By then its usually too late because all the good times you could have had with your parents are slipping away and you have neither the time or the patience to do all the things you could have done with them, but chose to hang out with your friends instead. Typical teenage bullshit that everyone pulls and regrets later

2.My number two thing is I wish i had seen certain people for what they were. And if they were just users/losers to leave them alone

3.My number three thing is I wish I had spent less time of my life devoted to cracking jokes and being a wise ass in school. And spent more time studying and exceling in school. This fallows you throught your whole life, because bad studing habbits will fallow you through college most likely.

4.My number four thing is I wish I hadnt always tried to be cool. Enough said.

5.Wish i wasnt such a dork in earlier ages... lol.

Those are mine post youres. I had to get those off my chest and who better than you guys.

im 15 and have PLENTY of things to regret

Tripper 01-25-2004 09:39 AM

I don't have any major regrets. Regrest are for people that are unhappy with their life.

My life is largely fine, well, there is nothing that I can't change later on life - and all my previous experiences have only contributed to my current situation, and my current personal status.

Life is too short for regrets. If you think you've made any bad choices in life that can't be changed - It's best to forget them and move on. You'll live a happier life that way.

Sergeant_Scrotum 01-25-2004 09:48 AM

I dont sit around all day thinking about them but if I were ever givin the chance I would probly do it.

A very interesting subject Levinstein ,

Tripper , has the right idea.
I am truely impressed with your responce there.

He is 100% correct.

Think of it like this...

I did alot of drugs , I got kicked out of High School.
* The two biggest mistakes I have ever made.

Had I not used drugs and stayed in school I would probely taken them up in College and wasted alot of money , time , and would be living with my parents. LOL!

Instead , I got my GED and joined the Army to get away from the drugs and bad influences.
Best choice I had ever made.

Without the mistakes that you have made , you would just make those mistakes later on in life. And things may not turn out so well , or at least be as easy to fix as they would be in early life.

Be grateful for the leasons you have learned.

I wish i would have had the balls to ask out Tara Fox in the 8th grade before she moved away.
it was a learning experiance, i guess. Im not as shy as i was last year.

Pvt.Pinhead 01-25-2004 01:22 PM

There really isnt much I regret. Ive always respected my parents, Im not a loser in school, Im popular but Im not the kind of guy that goes around making fun of loser kids (even though I hang out wiht those kinds of guys), I get good grades, get in trouble very seldom, theres truly nothing that I regret that I myself could have done anything to make a difference.

guarnere 01-25-2004 01:32 PM

My father died in a motorcycle accident when I was 6 and sometimes I wish I could have prevented him from going out that day.

As for the other regrets.... fuck 'em their long gone, except for the time I should have doubled down on $1 slots and instead of walking away with $500 I could have walked with the $1500 jackpot lol.
