Anybody out there got a radio check?
 

Anybody else ever talk on the CB radios? Ever once in awhile my friends and I go out and mess with people on it. It is so sad, but we have nothing better to do. I will admit though, you meet some crazy people on that thing. Anybody else ever done this? I wonder if we could ever get Rusty Nail after us?

all 18 wheelers have cb's....so, you can find out when the traffic starts to clear...very very cool :D

on my computer speakers.....CRAPPY POS'S, i pick up CB conversations...only happened once, just the other day..i was using my headset like always with the speakers on..i start hearing

oh, and if your car ever breaks down, and you don't have a cell phone...you might get some help with a CB...

That was my set, icom 706 mark 2, cost like £1200 to buy. Used to be part of a dxing group talking to people abroad, furthest i got was into the ukraines and white russia talking to people and one guy in atlanta.

I prefer scanners. I found a list once of all the police frq over canada & a bunch of other ones. including the mcdonalds drive trough biggrin:

Okay, dude, that rig is nice, but it sure as hell aint a CB, its runs on Ameature (sp?) radio. CB's 11 meters, amature is 2,6,10,12,15,17,20,30,40,80,and 160 meters.....IDIOT, didn't you know that. You probably just found the pic somewhere and made the rest up...

Oh yes a noob to bash. First off cock gobbler i already HAD an amateur radio license about 5 years ago or more. Secondly amateur radio for about a year was fun and new but started to get old. The uk cb frequencies were much more fun with people talking about normal every day shit rather than drone on about their sets and how bad the "skip" was. To even use the uk cb frequency which was in the 2700megahertz range i had to open the radio and modify it so it would let me transmit on that band range, when first bought the radio will not transmit on 2700megahertz.
