I have tried a couple different blood mods, and they work, but i can't get the puddles of blood. I want gore! I have tried the blood mod that is the one with 3 sizes of blood puffs, and another one from MOHcenter. Neither one give me puddles. Do I need to enable a video setting or something.

Keep advertising "other boards" here, it would help a lot.

Check and see if in your moh main folder another folder called main was created when unzipping , thats what happened to me when i first unzipped the file had to take it out of the main folder the zip created and back out to the original main folder and paste it there.

Anyone else having problems with it? I installed it just as the .doc says and it still gives me grey clouds and no pooling of the blood...

Anyone, Anyone....Anyone?

Ever heard of niceness?? No wonder all the other MOH:AA boards make fun of this one..whenever someone asks for help, they get shit. Back to the subject of this thread...make sure you dropped the mod in the correct directory. Otherwise, I don't know..

Anyone else with nothing better to do but flame people asking a legit question?

Inforit 01-25-2002 07:11 AM

I get the same grey smoke. So I switched back to my other blood mod.

Mange 01-25-2002 07:16 AM

Did you unzip it directly to the MOHAA/Main folder? if so, go into that folder and see if there is another "Main" folder inside it...if so, then move the pk3 file in it over to the first "main" folder. That is what I had to do with mine.

I noticed that there are other pak files in the Main folder. And WINZIP recognizes them as archived. I actually opened one of them up and extracted them, they recreated other folders within 'MAIN'. Am I to do that? Or does the game pick from them what it needs without extracting them?

Cpt. dick 01-25-2002 08:39 AM

its works for me, just open winzip and drag it to your main folder. I would also remove any other blood mods you might have in there

Canuck...No...it has to be in the pk3 format or the game will not recognize it. You don't need to extract those files.

Okay, great, thanks Mange. I did do it right the first time out. I'll take a look though. Might have to reinstall cause I unpacked those game archives...

Thanks for the Help All....

WHICH blood and guts mod? Is it available on this website? If not, you're prolly at the wrong place to ask that question although I doubt it if you'll get better results at the "other boards" though.

I myself only download the so-called AA.com compliance mods cause BS made sure that they ACTUALLY WORK before posting them, and he warned about downloading mods elsewhere, read'em up at http://www.alliedassault.com/community/mods/

I had the same problem initially with winzip. I extracted the pak file into the main directory. But when playing, no blood. So I went into the directory and for some reason, winzip only extracted the readme file. I did it twice and it didn't extract the pak file. So I manually dragged the pak file into the main directory and now it works.
