My fiance and I are on different spectrums of this debate

she says gays are born that way

I say that it's their choice to become gay, no one is born gay...

sexual intercourse is designed for a man and woman in my beliefs

It also depends alot on your views of religion etc...

What is your belief and/or feelings?

It's already been genetically proven that gays are born with indifferent chromosomes or some technical shit.

I say they choose because if they were born "gay" then God and his Holy Bible doesn't exist.

Well...I think you can't make that assumption.

There are some therorists that say we are born with our mind as a black slate and the shit that happens in our life scopes what we choose to do...our attitudes, our personality, our sexual preferences.

To assume we are all born straight and choose to be gay and not vice versa as well is far fetched.

No, everyone is born strait, like I said...its the naturaly occuring thing. Gay people become gay by their own choices like I've already stated...or by a tramatic expierence in their life like molestation or something.

Was debating this on another forum, basically some people are born knowing all their lives they are gay. Some guy stated that it seems to be natures solution to stoping overpopulation of the planet. Good point of view imo and it fits in with the born theory.

I'm scouring Google right now for an article I read in a scientific journal while I was researching something unrelated for biology. I'll edit it in if I can find it. Anyway:

The article basically reviewed and debated a theory that humans can actually alter their genetic make-up on a very small level. It reviewed a study from John Hopkins that followed a man for something like 8-10 years, with tissue samples being taken regularly. The man grew up in the South and had moved Maryland only a few months earlier. At the end of the study, several aspects of his genetic make-up had had noticeable changes, such as the genetic structure that helps define your personal preference for temperature and another that helps define the tenacity of your immune system.

Anyway, this study would indicate that it is the environment and/or mental state which defines homosexuality, since being born homosexual would be a mutation of nature. Unless someone was born to a person with those altered genes.

This whole thing is still in the theory phase. If I can find it I'll post it. Checking the JHU archives right now.

Gays choose to be gay. Because, I have known some gay guys that have turned straight guys gay. So obviously its a choice. Personally I think gay people should be burned at the stake.
