Wisdom Teeth... got yours?
 

Do you still have your wisdom teeth? If so, have they ever bothered you? My friend is having a helluva bad time with one of hers and i really want her to get better soon, but I think she may have to get the teeth extracted. I still have mine in place but they haven't caused me any problems yet.

No. I had mine out when I was 16 or so.

41 still have mine and never had a problem with them.

I have my right one in and my left is now coming, doesn't really bother me though.

Had 3 of 4 yanked last year. Actually, I think it was Feb 2, 2003.

Wasn't too bad. The codeine knocked me on my ass.

33 and still have mine. Everytime I go to hte dentist they tell me how lucky I am. I almost wish they would pull them so I dont have to hear it anymore.

Got all four removed when I was 16. I was lookin at the cieling in the dentists office, then he injected the whatever it was into my IV. I felt this cold stuff goin up my arm, and then the cieling did something weird. I was like What the he... ZzzzzZzz.

They bled like hell for a week or so, and took 3 or four weeks to heal completely. Pain in the ass, but now theyre gone.

well I'm like, 'proud' of my teeth.

I got my wisdom teeth out like the summer I turned 15...

all 4 impacted.. they gave me valium they said when they knocked me out.

It went really smooth actually. Like 2 weeks later I was almost 100%.

I still have mine but the dentist is bugging me to have them removed. They dont bother me though.

Yep I still have em, and I hope to kepp em.

Nope, had them pulled like. . .3-4 years ago. The stitches hurt like hell after the 2nd day.

i had mine out almost 9 years ago when i was 19... all 4 so they had to put me under... it was the 4th time i had surgery in three years so i wass building an immunity to the anesthetic... and like part way through i started to wake up.. it was crazy.. suddenly i could hear the nurses and dentist, but i couldnt move or open my eyes, i heard the nurse say "he's waking up!", and the dentist say "put him back under!"... and that was it... after they were done, and i was awake the dentist says "you're a fighter eh!"... it was kinda cool and pretty funny actually...

Gonna get all 4 taken out soon.

yeah had em removed to x-mas's ago. all Iremember is the ceiling above the chair crossing itsself the nebing fucked up on codine for 3-4 days strait. I figured out that 1/2 a pill kills the pain but makes me sick. 2 pills kills hte pain and feeling in my legs and I dont get sick.....jsut very hot, sweaty, and sketchy.

i just found out yesterday that my old dentist was a fucktard and now i have 3 cavities, and need sealent on 2 and need to get my wisdom teeth pulled. How bad is it?

Speirs, honestly it can go either way.

Personally, I didn't have a hard time with it at all. A couple of days off work, numbed with Tylenol 3s, sipping lukewarm soup. It wasn't so bad.

On the other hand, I've had some friends who's incisions got infected and were in rough shape.

To make you feel better, I've heard more "It wasn't so bad" stories then "OMFG...it sucked worse than a back-alley vasectomy" stories.

you dont feel a thing. youll be so high for so long youll forget most of it. I dont remember how I even got home after they took em out. all I rememebr is maybe 8 hors later throwing up cause of the codine. then doing that every 10 minutes for 2 days then jsut taking codine cause the bottle wasnt empty

Well, im lucky that I was born without wisdom teeth, but im also extremely unlucky....I had braces for 5 years, and anyone who has braces or had them knows they hurt like all hell, and sometimes deprive you of eating, etc. I've had 4 MOLARS pulled in one day. 4 huge holes in your mouth, with stiches in them, bleeding, numb/extreme pain, and you cant eat solid food for like a week. I woke up the next morning with blood ALL over my pillow, it was disgusting.

also my dad was born without them also.

they are comming in. sometimes the skin swells really bad and i cant eat.
