I have tested the functionality of Rcon and it appears to be working correctly. I was not able to get the private clients to work. I may not have the right settings though. As far as banning, haven't tried that yet either. If anyone has been successful at using the private clients and/or ip banning, please let us know.

yep instead its binding 12300 and 12201
yet when you do a net_port from the console its says net_port "12203"

hopefully blasneystein will post. he says in the developer forum that he got it to work.

or aachen, he started the thread saying rcon works. hmm so wtf is wrong with my config? it worked for the demo(minus rcon of course).

b. tell us there is a problem that either is being fixed or cant be fixed.

k, it aint working. when i launch from in game i can clearly see 12203 bound with a netstat -a

On my firewall, I have forwarded UDP 12203 & 12300. That's all I have done.

To get rcon to work, on the client side, I do the following:

rconpassword password
rconaddress ip.of.my.srvr
rcon status
rcon clientkick <num from status>
rcon exec obj.cfg (to start an objective match)

However, I CANNOT get the private clients to work, so if someone has any info on that I would love to know what I am doing wrong. I have tried setting "sv_privatePassword" and "privatePassword" to the "sv_privatePassword" in my config file, but it is not going.

Mad, as you can see in gayspy, Blasney Beach is up and running, and these are my configs... if I can give you any other info, I will be glad too, I know how frustrating it is.

Also, its Blasney-STEIN, not train. :-)
