Neo Nazi Hitler 02-15-2004 11:53 AM

my brother has dread locks, I'd say like 15-18 inches long.

He uses this wax called, 'Knotty Boy'

do a search on that on google or something, he bought it offline, probably from some site related to drugs or what-have-you...

not sure how much he uses or anything, but I'm sure it will give instructions some where..

When I did mine I just used Kool-Aid and a twisting method.

Take a strand of hair , "roll" it back and forth in your palms until it is a knotty mess.

Next split it into two parts and pull up towards your scalp , you should end up with a bit of a tangled knot at the top.

Repeat .

Now I used Kool-Aid to make it Blue and to help it stick.
** WARNING ** Let the color set very well , BEFORE taking a shower!

BTW , I am NOT joking.

You dont..they just get all stanky then birds begin building nests in them

MinorThreat 02-16-2004 01:10 AM

wash dreads? isn't that missing the point? btw... just put a tobagan on and wear it 24/7 for a couple of months... ABSOLUTLY no hair washing... and voila... dreads.

Tystnad 02-16-2004 03:32 AM

Bah.. The way to get the real natural dreads is to not comb or cut the hair, but still wash it like you always do..
Then again, it takes around 3 years to get them natural dreads..
Yes, you wash the fake, waxed dreads aswell..
