A better solution is to allow the admin to set the number of each weapon allowed.

The thing about limiting the number of snipers is that that encourages the sniper(s) that are in the server to just sit there and shoot the pillboxes, because it's suddenly a big privelege they have to respect. It wouldn't solve it in my book unless you got rid of them altogether.

I'm totally against removing snipers, invisible walls for the axis to be protected, limiting snipers, and god mode mg42 whores.

But I'd support your "limiting snipers" as long as the allied were allowed to release attack dogs that would eventually come up and chew the faces off those opposed to snipers.

You are an idiot with no life to start a petition to ban weapons in a game...you dumbass. I'm starting a petition to ban idiots who complain about snipers and rockets...deal with them. They are not hard to kill if you got skill. This is so god-dam ridiculous. I read in another post, that some schmuck want's to get rid of grenades!! What the hell is going on. This game is a WW2 game, not the Revolutionary war. Wake up!

just b/c you dont like to play sniper i dont think you should ruin it for people who do. my favorite lvl to snipe on is omaha. it is fun. it is one of the reasons i love the game. find a server were they dont have snipers or make one yourself but dont push your playing views on others. nazi

or you could play a game without sniper rifles, like spongebob or something

snipers should be limited always, or the game gets lame. 1 for every 6 is FINE. maybe even a feature where, if the sniper sucks, the computer will automatically change him to a rifle to let someone more qualified be a sniper.

some people were pissed when they couldn't have godmode, but they realized the game is fun without it after playing without it.

the problem is you always get 4-6 "johnny grassy noll" types that arent doing ANYTHING to help the team. newsflash, the germans spawn up there, you have to get there. they start there. Sniping them and making them respawn...where your guys have to go doesnt solve a damn thing. one or two guys keeping the guns down does help. Anymore than that garuntees your team a loss.

This is why i wish there were hard per map limits that can be set by the server. If you give newbies the choise they will always do something to screw up teamplay.

I think snipers make the game fun... if there are too many of them, then reduce their accuracy realistically, but that's about it. why would you want to remove them? they're there for a reason. and a petition? sha.

the same principle with many things in life. MODERATION. special weapons should be moderated. if people can only have fun by sitting somehwere and sniping, they should go play a game called SNIPING ASSAULT. but moderation will make the game funner for the majority of people.

I run my server with no snipers or Bazookas with the CPR mod, blood patch and more accurate MG42. Omaha is now a blast for everyone, real challenge for the allies to get through.

Snipping rules for all you losers out their who don't like it are just mad because they don;t know how to use it.

Leave the game the way it is. You dont like snipers? get teh fook over it. You cant find a way to kill them? Leave or play, but dont whine about it.

you guys are very selfish im sorry but its true.

the reason I myself want to limit snipers is not because i get killed by them, its my favorite class, and i fucking kill lots of people as one, using my sniper script, even close up its easy.

but im thinking about EVERYONE in the game having a pleasant time. is it better to make 8 guys have a bad time, because the entire other team is sniping, or make a couple guy partially unhappy cause they can't use their precious sniper rifle. the game would be better for the majority of people playing if special weapons were restricted.
its the lesser of two evils. in a while when everyones gotten good at the game, GOOD snipers will dominate, and there will be lots of them. i mean, if the rocket had a scope and was accurate, eveyrone would use that regardless of the obsuridity, and the horrible time everyone would have.

but some of you just dont seem willing to sacrafice a sniper rifle so others can have a great gameplay experience. oh thats life i guess people are selfish. fuck it
